    Finished my walk. My hands were near frostbitten, so I ran my them under hot water. They are now very swollen. So typing is a lot harder.

      perhaps you should have worn gloves? or.... run them under tepid water?

      ^ That. Lukewarm water is the way to go. You could also hold them over a vent if your heater is running or use a hair dryer on the low setting to warm them up.
