He imagined it being connected to all those around him, and energy feeding through it. He then imagined the line being cut in two, dividing him from the others. In that instance, he felt it leave. I studied such cases, and found that the changeling shows signs of having a line attached to the one they love consistently. And the pony never grew weak. Never showed any symptoms of feeding that are common in extended or intense feeding. At the same time, the changeling never showed signs of hunger. In fact after two weeks of this, the holes present in the changelings hooves, wings, mane and tail vanished completely." He took a minute to to take a breath, before his face turned somber. "One case I was discovered by the changeling while it was on a date with a pegasus mare. He thought me a rapist or something, I don't recall, but it ended in his head coming off. Within 37 seconds of death, the mare collapsed and died as well. Her heart failed and was beyond recovery. So it leads me to believe that when changelings and ponies share this connection, they changeling gets an unlimited source of food, but if one dies, the other follows. @@slimmyjimjim, Nexus responded in a voice just slightly above room level. "Look, I know the mechanics of changeling nature and behavior but I never had to ACT like one. I didn't even know my line was out, I thought that was just something I had to get used to. And in my defense I didn't do jack crap with Dogboots. He just started making out and I was too busy blacking out to do a damned thing about it. Forgive me if I can't function like a changeling pony hybrid thing the first day of being one." He looked agitated, as he did not like to be confronted with this. He honestly didn't want to be this, this...thing, but he had no choice. He thought it would be fine, but now he learns he needs to do something he despises. That is pretty hard news.

@@slimmyjimjim, Nexus gave Luminari an apologetic look before he followed Parcel into his motel room. The room was rather empty, as Nexus didn't own many things. He turned his head to Parcel when he snapped with the door closing. "Beg you pardon?" He asked, genuinely confused about what the issue was. Did he screw something up? He shouldn't be so confused, as he knew more about changelings than anypony, but maybe he just didn't know a thing about hybrids.

The medic was at Corkscrew's side, and began to run some basic diagnostics. His horn began to glow and he started running the test. No dark magic signatures, no major injuries, no blood clogs. Physically he was healthy. But then he got to the cognitive tests. Brain activity was low, and unusual brainwaves resonated from the pegasus. However, the subconscious was alive with activity, more so than normal. The unicorn medic tried several times to revive the sleeping Guard, to no avail. He brought out a clipboard and began to write a report. The subject was healthy physically, but cognitive function is low in the conscious mind, and the subjects brainwaves are irregular. The subconscious is overactive and slight twitching in the eyes and legs suggest a dream like state. The subect is currently in a comatose state and should be brought in for further care. He finished his report before leaving the room, as they were close to Canterlot. He would need help transporting Corkscrew.

I would assume that you escape, but you may want to check with the DMs and I think it would be OP to fight off an army of the things.
