  1. @, I got an idea. Give me one second and I will post it. Well, I wouldn't take it THAT far. Though that would be one hell of a way to kill a thread :c
  2. @, The book that the slimy's were transporting? No, Acheron just intercepted that book in a weird OP scythe attack. No offense. Unless you are referencing a different book?
  3. @, Should I post something more or wait for you to make the big plot post. We are in the basement ATM and I am guessing we are not alone.
  4. @, Me and Psych just walked down into the secret basement of town hall, a slimy-that's my nickname for the tentacle monsters-is heading to town hall with a book and Acheron is giving chase. And apparently something plot heavy is going to happen in that basement. Is your body ready?
  5. IMO there is no such thing as a bad first party Nintendo game.

No mate, it was not good. The controls were unresponsive, there were gamebreaking scenarios, it was tiring, and it was silly.

The reason why I don't like Dark Souls is because it's unfair. Difficulty shouldn't be falsified. I love a hard game, it's just unfair when every enemy is able to glitch through supposedly solid objects and hitstun me (in Dark Soul's case). In Zelda II's case, there were just too many variables in play that could render the game unwinnable...

Were the controls really that unresponsive? I'll admit I haven't played it in years but like, I don't recall that at all. of course at the same time I played Bubsy like crazy and said the controls weren't unresponsive on that sooo....

Go hook up your NES and play it again. Link would move and attack, but it would take a (very visible) moment for anything done to register. In my book, that counts as unresponsive.

Granted, the game was actually playable with all the bugs fixed in the re-release (the Collecter's Edition, GC) and it wasn't that bad anymore. Still, one of the worst 1st party titles from Nintendo.

  6. Interesting. I'm guessing that these slime creatures act as runners for whoever is pulling the strings here. That is an awesome concept if that's true. Can't wait to jump back in.
  7. @, Believe me I intend to go into that basement and face whatever soul sucking monster of inconceivable terror lies waiting to eat my intestines like spaghetti. Because Nexus doesn't get scared easily, considering the shit he's been through. Now we must wait for Psych.
  8. @, It happens. Also, an idea occurred to me. It was said that the tentacle creatures could be intelligent, or at least more so than the zombies, so I thought, "Hmm, I wonder what would happen if someone attempted communication with these things?" In a way that doesn't get them disemboweled viciously.
  9. Sorry for inactivity. I am waiting for Psych Ward to get online and respond. And on a seperate note, reading Thunder Knight's description of the tentacle monster while eating may not have been the smartest idea. Dat mental image....XC
  10. RPer offline. Now we play the waiting game....

  11. @, Maybe have them wake up when one of the groups returns. They can describe the situation and we see where things go from there.
  12. I am off to read a plot summary for EqG.

  13. @, Nah, your fine. My only suggestion is to add a little more tension. It seemed like you guys made it there with little interference, save for one monster, which was easily distracted. So maybe make it tenser.
  14. @@Psych Ward, Heads up, we are already in the town hall. I couldn't think of anything else that could be done outside, and Acheron's group already fot to the library, so I sped things up a bit.
  15. @@thor9356, Nexus chuckled again, and once more it was humorless. "It doesn't work like that. Love regenerates itself. The stronger the love, the quicker it regens. Your love for her is so strong it restores itself faster than we can drain it." He got serious, leveling himself with the earth pony. "And never forget that love. Keep it with you, make it your drive. I don't know what happened to her, and I won't ask. But always keep her in your heart. Always remember the good times you had. But maybe you make some room in there for others? If you can't have Rockshire, find somepony new. I know you can do it." Nexus had given more pep talks in the last two days than he has given in his life. But he would do his best to help his friends.
  16. @@thor9356, You couldn't tell because of the way changeling eyes are structured, but the hybrids eyes shrank slightly. "Oh. Well that is quite the moral issue isn't it?" He thought for a moment. He tried to put himself in his shoes, before he concluded. "Well, if the love is strong enough-and I know it is-then I think some less than favorable behavior could be forgiven. And if she loved you more than him, she would dump him for you. He gets the short end of the stick, but believe when I say that would be life going easy on him."
  17. @@thor9356, "Look, I am by no means an expert in love. After all, you basically just gave me my first kiss." Nexus deadpanned. But he continued. "But I think love isn't under the same restrictions society or even a pony's ideals or beliefs are under. If you love somepony, great, everything else be damned. And you do love her, no? You did just get on your forelegs and crawl to the defense of what was just a copy of her."
  18. @@thor9356, Nexus thought about that, and then chuckled humorlessly. "You sure that's the only reason you ambushed me? As I recall, Rockshire took up a considerable amount of space in your heart." Wow. Nexus replayed what he just said. He was slowly losing himself to this changeling nature of his. He would fight it. He fought off Boon, Virus, and Axel, and damnit he would fight off himself too.
  19. Why the hell did I mention Nightmare Rarity? Sorry, I meant BSN. I think I done derped there. Sorry.
  20. @@slimmyjimjim, @@thor9356, "Right. I...suppose you should. Though I feel fine now." The hybrid was slowly regaining composure. He wondered something. "I wonder..." He focused his mind, and began to cycle through his different forms. He turned into Parcel, then Dogboots, then Rockshire, then back to himself. "Interesting. Looks like I pick up more transformations as I feed on more ponies. Good to know." He backpedaled quickly however. "But I won't manipulate anypony to feed. Volunteers only." He turned to Dogboots. "And warn me the next time you invade my personal space, OK?"
  21. @, I can sympathize with depression, as well as work loads, but quitting now would seriously complicate things for the rest of us. You can't join something like this, then quit a quarter way into it. So in quitting, you would be screwing everyone else.
  22. And I can sympathize with that. I think you are not in a group.I can invite you into the group Nexus formed. That would make him, White Rose, and Arianna. That is a reasonable number for a squad. So shall I post the invite or do you wish to approach?
  23. Lets all just calm down, and think this out. This story takes place 20 years past canon MLP so naturally technology would of advanced. So guns in an early state is plausible. When a major character quits a RP that is plot heavy, you risk throwing the entire thing into a loop and WCS the RP dies. And Arianna I will interact with you later, so you get a place in this plot.
  24. @@thor9356, @@slimmyjimjim, Nexus has never kissed anypony before. So when his first kiss is with a colt in a mares form, well... His chest glowed a soft blue, and when the kiss was broken, Nexus fell back on his haunches, reverting back to his true form. He looked...his face was unreadable. It looked like his mind shut down. He blacked out. It wasn't until a solid two minutes that he began to blink rapidly, regaining his senses. He felt bloated. Like he wouldn't need to eat for a week. He looked around the room, trying to remember where he was. It was a cottage. Pictures of a green pegasus stallion with a cheerful mare adorned the walls. On one side was a changeling. Parcel. And next to him was a collapsed earth pony. Dogboots. He picked up the colt, and placed him back into his wheelchair. Several times he attempted speech, but came up blank. Until he finally croaked out. "I-um, well, uh, th-thats one way of doing it." He looked back at Parcel. "What happened?" He asked. He was still unsure what transpired, so a third party was just what they needed.
  25. @@slimmyjimjim, "That's the thing, I don't know how. I think because you interrupted...whatever the hell it was we were doing that I am stuck in this form." Nexus went and helped Dogboots back into his wheelchair. He was glad that his strength didn't vanish with the rest of his body mass. @@thor9356, "Dogboots." Nexus said in a soft, warming tone he didn't know he had. Changing form really did make you a perfect copy of somepony. "If I recall, you ended up this injured protecting Parcel, after he turned into me..." Me? Why the hell did he just say that? "Rockshire, whatever. Point is that you are killing yourself in m-her defense. Why?" He concluded. Something was up, not just with the earth pony, but with Nexus as well. He was slipping up. Was it possible to lose yourself in a changed form? He prayed to Celestia not. He didn't want to be Rockshire. Or a mare in general. Being a hybrid complicated things but he wouldn't trade up his real self for the world.
