Hullo! I'm currently working on the genreponies right now, and probably the rest of the night. I've decided to tackle the chiptunes pony, but I find myself in a bit of a rut. What I need from you guys is any suggestions to add to him. Keep in mind: -The pony stands for chiptune music. Think retro gaming! -This pony is NOT something to just throw franchise logos on. We need to keep this as original as possible. -Any and all suggestions will be taken into consideration! What I need from you guys: -Mane and tail style ideas? (I have one in mind, but feel free to throw 'em out there!) -Accessory ideas? (These are a little more important than they would be on other ponies.) -Clothes, if any? -Colour scheme? (I admit, this is just me being lazy.) -And anything else you could possibly think of! There are no wrong or stupid suggestions here. I read everything and take all your suggestions into consideration. Alright, guys, post away! (P.S. : If you have suggestions for any other genrepony, feel free to post them here as well, or send me a PM.)

What IronHugo said, but with soldier. I've some difficulty even aiming at opponent's feet, let alone shoot them in the air. I've already trained with various maps, including rocketjumping and airshooting ones, but still.

Hullo. I'm Ray, you may know me from the genreponies and stuff. I play TF2 alot- if you want to add me on Steam, my username there is Pinkie Spy. I'm a decent scout player, and want to improve. If there's anyone in this thread willing to criticize and help with my playing in TF2, that'd be awesome. I also want to develop some skills in soldier and sniper, too. I want to someday, sometime be a competitive player. If you've any tips at all, share 'em, and I'll share mine.

"Well, I'm glad you understand," Maple replied, "but at least you have a more constructive goal- I'm not even sure what I'll do there.", she shrugged. Vim had turned his focus to another group of ponies. Tracing his sight, she could see and hear them speak of some strange occurence on the train. She tried to keep focus on the conversation, interested in hearing whatever mysteries the train might hold... Her sight of the table was distracted by another pony, a blue-green pegasus, who, most importantly, bore a plate of sandwiches. She waved hello, as if to beacon the pony over, even though she was already head there. When she laid down a plate and a sandwich, she thanked the pony, who was soon delivering sandwiches to the rest of the train. She ate the sandwich in generous bites. When asked the next question about her works, Maple had to chew a little while before answering. Swallowing the sandwich- which she absolutely loved- she answered the mare, with a subtle eagerness that any artist would have when someone inquired about their works. "Well, I've written four, so far. They're called 'The Lyre', 'Celestia's Loneliness', 'Colt #45', and 'House of Cards'." "Oh, alright then. See you later, maybe." She noticed the direction where Vim was headed, and was about to focus again on it, when Summerfall spoke. "Oh, no worries! You should get yourself some sleep, then.", Maple said. Waving good-bye to the already retreating mare, she chanced another glance at the group- she was alone now, finally, to think. Not that she hadn't had good company, but she loved to dedicate every ounce of attention to whatever was in front of her, rather than divide her interest between things. Now she could hear what they were saying and think. She took a sandwich, and ate a little slower while eavesdropping on the ponies.

"Thank you!" , With a slight bow of her head, she pulled out a chair that was adjacent to Summerfall, and took her seat. "Oh, and, it's nice to meet you too, Summer! I'm Maple Sands, but you can call me Maple!" Maple didn't get to see the pony's cutie mark yet, as it was hidden under the shadows of the table, along with the roots of her tail. She tried to infer what her talent might be with what little she already knew of her ("Like Sherclop Pones!", she'd thought), but her guessing were cut short when the lime earth pony decided to strike up a conversation. Breaking out of her concentration, she was able to hear the last part of her neighbor's question. "Well, I was hoping to find reference material and inspiration for a book..." she began, "But honestly, it's just the spirit of adventure! I've never gone to a place like Los Pegasus, and I've never gone on a vacation like this- I mean, not that I've ever really needed one, you see..." she paused, from fear of overwhelming Summerfall with an onslaught of words,as she had done so before to others. "It's just some foalish impulse I had, and I guess I just decided to feed it, for once." Stopping to consider about what to say next, she returned the question. "What about you, Summer?" At the sound of a stallion's voice, she turned her head to see the gruff-looking conductor from before. “Oh, hello there, si- Vim!” she stumbled a little with her words.. “I-We were just doing some small-talk. You can join us, if you want!” She glanced over at Summerfall to see if she agreed with the idea, and then turned back to Vim with a friendly smile.

BOOM BIPITTY BAP VANDERFUL BEGINNING, FROND Very impressive way to start your arting, friend! Only two faults I can see is that the upper snout part thing, (nose) is too broad, too wide, but ye already know that. The other one is that the roots of her mane are slightly more toward the center, and slightly closer to the left eye (our perspective) Oh, and something else. The beginning of her legs is far too rigid, too stiff. Ponies are all about cuuuuuuuuuuuurves. Remember that the end of a hoof is wider than the beginning of the leg, by the way- even though you didn't draw the ends of the legs, I can see you were thinking they wouldn't change much as they went down- and they do. Lookit: I really like how you drew her mouth open, even I have some trouble with that simple thing. A suggestion: Try to make the second highlight more apparent. I can hardly see it. Another suggestion: Draw the lines in the iris! It's simple, and it makes it feel more complete if you put them in the right places. Also, I'm not really a fan of how you connected the eye thingies so close together, but I think that's just personal preference, it doesn't really take much away from the art. woah this took longer than I thought it would time to get back to working and drawing and writing and pony

Maple was about to respond to Ambrosia, when she began talking to other ponies and busying herself with whatever chef-ly duties she was doing. She stopped giving it thought after she beckoned the colt from before, Electrobolt, to discuss something or another. Looking around, she noticed that the majority of the ponies from earlier had suddenly occupied themselves without her noticing. Not wishing to interrupt any of them, she scanned the room for a table, as Ambrosia had suggested her to. She found a suitable table, occupied by a particularily bored-looking earth pony. Her lime hoof rested upon the wooden surface of the table, providing support for her upper body, which was leaning forward a bit, while the olive hues of her eyes scanned the room in very much the same way she had been.The tip of the pony's tail was visible from where Maple was standing, coming out of the cover that the shadows of the table had given the rest of it. Like her mane, the tail had a cocoa-coloured streak across it, accentuating the milky-chocolate mane. Taking a step, she noticed the ground below her gently vibrate. Looking back at an open window, she noticed that the train had began to move. Turning her attention back to the table, she trotted over to it, and introduced herself. "Hello!" She greets the pony. "I'm Maple! Would you mind if I sat with you?"

Thanks for the feedback! FiM anatomy is not too hard to get used to, and I do plan to make a colour scheme for the ponies, but for now, not all of them are coloured. Some vector artists are going to make their own art based on my designs later, and those will go on Pony.fm. Also, I'm not feeling very well with any sort of guitar for a CM. Interrecroissant idea! I think a spiked tail-holder thingy might look good on the metal pony! Thanks for the suggestion and feedback! That's actually a very good idea! I'll try it out. Thank you for the feedback! Ho, nice! Thank you very much for responding. I'm not sure if I want to go FULLY metal with the metal pony, as it will make her look like a mess, very complicated, with too many layers- I'm trying to keep things simple as well as give the ponies character to their genre, but she may be able to use some more metal aspects. Yep, I thought about that as well, and it does look weird. I think I'll give her some spiked thingies for her tail. Thanks for the feedback! Aaand I think the pop artist is alright for now- I mean she looks a little funky, a little excited, no? Hael yeah it was a reference to Metalocalypse. Glad you liked it! (I actually expected you to be more critical of her) Thankye! I can see what you mean about the Pop pony's lower mane- I'll see if it works. Warhammer seems to be a very popular choice. Your suggestions, like a few others, are very viking-like. I know that viking culture is present in metal, but it seems like it's more present than I thought before. I'll think about these. Denim or leather jacket sounds nice- it doesn't seem to be too complicated for ponies, either... Thank you for the feedback! Look around the fanart section, you're bound to find them. Maple saw Electrobolt hurrying away, and turned back to her door. She'd have time to talk to him later, probably- for now, there was the matter of acquainting herself with her room- as she thought this, her belly let out a small growl- and, of course,the matter of food... she had forgotten to eat breakfast today, just like she always forgot to eat when she wasn't prompted to. She quickly shook herself to bring her attention back to the hinged portal. On it, the number 12 was written in an italic font, on a bronze-coloured metal screwed to the door. The doors were made of what seemed to be fine, smooth wood. Bracing herself- for no particular reason, she pushed the door and- The door did not open. She pulled the door, and it did not open. Confused, she kept trying to force it open, worry now beginning to flood her mind. She was about to try to buck the door open like she saw the Apple ponies at the farm do it, when, right before a major hindleg dislocation could occur, the key slid out of her saddlebag, making an abrupt cling on the floor. Mentally facehoofing, she looked around to see if anypony was around to see her. Thankfully, there didn't seem to be. "Everypony must be in the dining room...", she thought, "I should go there after I leave my saddlebag here..." She carefully picked up the small key, and quickly inserted it into the lock. With a turn, with a push, and with a little less foalish excitement. she entered. The room was occupied by two small wooden shelves with a few books- some of which Maple instantly recognized as classics in the world of literature, plus a few others-, a light-brown carpet which Maple noted felt great beneath her hooves, and a bed on which there was a cherry-red blanket resting neatly on top of it, as well as a fluffy white pillow. Maple resisted her urge to jump on the bed. Leaving her saddlebag on top of the shelves, besides the novel "Dr. Pink and Ms. Amena" she began to leave for the dining room- only to stop and go back to her saddlebag to retrieve a pencil and some paper. Folding the paper, she put both of these behind her ears, the paper hiding behind her mane. There! Now she was all set. She left the key on the bed and trotted outside, shut the door with a swift flick of her tail, and then made her way towards where she thought she saw the dining room. Carefully stepping to the car, (Thankfully labeled "Dining Room" on the frame of the door) she opened the door, and peeked inside- inside there were four ponies- among them was the icy-coloured pony from before. Three of the ponies seemed to be clambering to talk to one honey-coloured Earth Pony, whom, she noticed, had a cutie mark of a ladel! She must be the cook! Just who she was looking for- she'd get to know all the other ponies while she waited, maybe. "Hi!", she called, as she trotted towards the ponies. "I'm Maple! What's happening?" She stopped when she was near the others, and gave her a smile, anticipating her own joke- "Are you the cook? You must be pretty good- you've a whole crowd here!"

I took a risk here, making the metal pony female (I did it so you could ship Rock and Metal more easily). I hope it turned out alright. No CM yet, since a guitar seems to be a very common Cutie Mark amongst OC's. If you can think of any awesome metal icons for the pony to wear on her flank, that'd be great! Okay, this is just a little exercise for myself to stretch my art muscles and such. I rarely ever draw AJ, so this will be a challenge! I'm also trying to practice gesturing and any sort of emotions or reactions. All sketches will take about 10-30 minutes to draw, and about 5-10 minutes to scan and put it here, so please have patience. Most of the time, the responses will be one to two panels long.
