  1. I have grad pictures! And then getting fro yo with friends! (I'm on the left)
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't wait up for that. Hasbro owns MLP, and that's that. I actually like it that way, even though everyone probably thinks I'm crazy for saying that.
  3. I hate when I see what looks like a cool avatar, and google search the image for the full, uncropped version, and BAM! It turns out it's actually a dirty picture. Ugh...

  4. Magic isn't real, its all illusions, misdirection, and sleight of hand. But thinking about that when watching magic tricks is lame, the fun is in just enjoying the show and letting yourself be sucked in and deceived. Its fun! But no, magic isn't real.
  5. The Battle of Hoth will always be a favorite of mine! Or the duel on Bespin... Or the asteroid chase.. or really anything at all in The Empire Strikes Back, really!
  6. 18 Male White (Italian, English, Irish, and a bit of a few other things, mainly French and Welsh) Straight Roman Catholic ESTJ
  7. I had to get PADI open water-certified for an Honors Program at my high school. I really loved it, except for the fact that we did our training in the Puget Sound (I live in Washington State) which is cold as sin in the winter, which is when we trained. It was more than worth it though, since the program takes a trip to Hawaii to go Scuba diving after our Junior year, and I had a blast with that! A picture of me Scuba diving for the project all of the kids in the Honors program had to do. (My project required me to stay submerged at about 14 feet for extended periods, so even though it was in a pool I figured it was best to just use scuba gear)
  8. Wow, the M/F ratio must be horrendous on that site..
  9. I'm not entirely sure if "cancer" is the right word to describe us, but I can certainly understand the irritation of people on the Internet. To be fair, there are lots and I mean LOTS of Bronies who jam the show down everyone's throats, bring it up in places where its irrelevant, and generally just tout it around in a douchey way. Its like militant religious or atheist people who shove their ideas in other people's faces. If enough people do that sort of thing, the whole group earns the irritation of everyone. So I guess although a good number of Bronies aren't pretentious, irritating, or embarrassing in their devotion to the show, enough are like that that we've given ourselves a bad name. Not much we can do about it besides not be dicks about our fandom
  10. I've actually never gone to a movie alone before. I'd just feel strange doing it I think. Half the fun is going with friends or a date I think. I guess I'd just feel a bit left out since most people go with other people.
  11. I fundamentally disagree with your argument because you said those two statements. Hasbro may not have made the specific fanmade animations they are claiming the rights to, but they sure as heck own the My Little Pony trademark and all characters and concepts associated with such an intellectual property. It is more than within their legal right to remove animations such as these. Another thing, if you've noticed, Hasbro targets a specific breed of animation: show quality and show faithful. That is to say, if an animation looks like the show and has the same tone as the show, to the point where someone couldn't tell the difference between a Hasbro episode and a fan video, then Hasbro goes after it, since it challenges their ownership of their intellectual property. Animations that aren't show accurate animationwise (The MOV series comes to mind) or completely different in tone and totally different (Smile HD) are safe. Hasbro is targeting a very narrow, albeit popular, breed of videos, and its perfectly legal for them to. They own the show, not those fan animators.
  12. I guess they look cool. I mean, I wouldn't wear them, since I never wear any MLP related things, but they look fine. Less brash and odd than the more in your face "I love My Little Pony" shirts are at least. For the most part.
  13. As a general rule of thumb, I judge all animes. Not before watching them, but just because I don't watch them on principle. The closest I've gotten was Avatar The Last Airbender. I just dislike the art style and general feel of anime, so I never watch it ever. So I guess that counts.
  14. Sure, plenty are better! The Boondocks, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, (Those last three are before they ran for too long and stopped being good), Recess, Kim Possible, Hey Arnold, etc. MLP is a good show, but it can't stand next to the greats.
  15. Well, no, I don't, since I'm not involved in anything about the fandom besides this site, but it isn't surprising. Fans of the show from the original seasons and the first big wave of hype are starting to love interest and leave, taking sites they created with them. Its a natural part of the start of the decay of any fandom.
  16. I had my wisdom teeth pulled, eye surgery when I was in 2nd grade, and a minor procedure to realign my patella ( a bone above the kneecap) after a soccer injury
  17. Not necessarily. The Mongols overran China militarily, but then became the Yuan Dynasty, and except for a few minor bureaucracy changes, nothing was altered. China didn't die, even though it was utterly annihilated by the Mongols in battle. Same with Spain. It was ruled by Muslims for over half a millennium, yet almost immediately regained its original Christian culture and essence after the Reconquista by Leon and Castille
  18. Older nations then us have endured upheavals and even substantial changes but not "died". England didn't die when William the Conqueror invaded the country and won the Battle of Hastings, it just changed. The Ottoman Empire didn't change much when it became Turkey besides shrinking a bit in size. Assyria became Babylon, which became Persia, which became the Seleucid Empire, which became the Sassanid Empire. But life didn't really change in that area, the capitals changed and the flags, but not the substance. Point is, maybe America will go through substantial changes, economically or politically, but the substance of what makes America, well, America will most likely endure for a very long time. And really, what is the deal with other counties being allowed to bash America, but if Americans show any pride at all in their country, they are automatically redneck hick hillbillies? A bit of a double standard.. Especially since all things considered, America acts pretty begin for all its power and leverage over other countries. If this had been any other time period in history, a country with a military that strong would be conquering the world, not just sometimes doing bungled and misguided, but admittedly with decent intentioned, police actions.
  19. I swam a bit for recreation in middle school, but I really started swimming seriously in high school. When I got a job as an oceanfront lifeguard, I obviously had to swim a whole lot, and so I just got in the habit of swimming frequently, since it felt nice and was a good workout. I actually joined my high school team for a season, but it was conflicting too much with all my other stuff, so I stopped. It was really fun though!
  20. Um, wat? I always get a kick out of all these hypothetical "What ifs" that always pop up on here, they're so random! I really don't know. PETA is nuts, and them attacking the MLP fandom wouldn't matter to me since I don't tell anyone I like the show, so I guess it'd be funny to watch angry vegans argue with angry neckbeards I suppose!
  21. I'm just stoked that Seattle kept Sherman. The Legion of Boom is back for another season! Although seeing Tate leave is a little disappointing, even though he is replaceable.
  22. Considering I have found protein brownies and chocolate flavored protein bars that fulfill my chocolate fix with minimal fat and sugar while providing me with a nice chunk of protein, I won't say chocolate. I'll say potato chips, of all flavors, since those things are tasty, even if they are empty calories and simple carbs that are really bad for me and waste space in my stomach that could be taken up by healthy things. So yeah, potato chips that are healthy and actually have complex carbs (and maybe some protein too for good measure) would be perfect!
  23. I'd be irritated, but I suppose I could go without both. I'd be bummed about never being able to watch the Superbowl on TV or use the Internet, and I'd have to go back to getting news from other sources, but it wouldn't ruin my life. I'd probably just spend more time sleeping or working out!
  24. I'm not officially in the Military yet, but I'm going to be attending the United States Naval Academy, so I'll be an active Officer in the Navy when I graduate.
  25. I love both, they were my bread and butter as a kid, but I have to go with the original. Those songs man! "After Today", "Stand Out", "Eye to Eye"... They were great!
