The songs weren't amazing like Apples to the Core or Bats but overall Pinkie Pride was a really good episode.

It's funny to see ponies defending what was undeniably the worst episode of the season just because of derpy's return. I have no doubt by the end of the season when she has once again had some time to settle in ponies will be decrying it on the same level as Mare Do Well. As I stated in my review of it, the fun touches prevented it from being the worst episode of the series but weren't enough to make it a good one no matter how hard ponies try to convince themselves it was.

Broken characterization was what killed it for me. And as far as Bulk he was one of the fun touches I mentioned that kept it from being a complete failure. If you want a more in depth opinion I posted my review around page 8 of the thread for the episode. Only thing I wanted to mention was the fact that the same things ponies complained about in Mare Do Well are out in force here and are being praised. As stated it could have been worse, but sadly my high hopes were dashed, pun not intend...

Okay apparently it got cut off. What I was getting at was we have had this message from Dash REPEATEDLY. I would have liked a different take on it. Rather than shoehorn the Wonderbolts into being 1 dimensional antagonists we could have had a legitimate loyalty quandry, Loyalty to home vs. Loyalty to friends. Alas twas not meant to be.

It has come to my attention that two of the CMC's IRL parents voiced DBZ core characters. Sweetie's dad voiced Goku and Babs' dad voiced Vegeta. Mind officially blown!

First week at the new job down!

Equestria Girls wasn't bad, but wasn't great either I'd say about 3 out of 5. I appreciated all of the jokes though especially the CMC's music video.

I actually liked it a lot. I would give a 4, I only drop 1 because the ending was weird and felt rushed. I wanted to see more of what happens after in the human world. Other than that the only other thing I didn't like was how everyones legs were super long and disproportionate to their bodies, but that is easy to get over.

Not a fan of the style EqG has taken though the trailer does have something I am looking forward to being explored by this series. How a horse takes to being a human, seeing Twi as a human bend over and grab an apple off her plate with her mouth was hilarious and hopefully is the sort of thing they will focus on for the movie. I will reserve my full judgement until the movie comes out and I have seen it.
