  1. @Illiad Easle I leaned on the table, trying to make myself as comfortable as possible. I found it somewhat amusing that they would automatically assume I was a loyalist, though it made sense considering what had happened before. I took a minute to choose my words... "I'm not a loyalist. Far from it actually; I was Royal Guard way before any of this went down. As for the engineer..." I paused. "...if there's one thing I hate, it's arrogant leaders like her. They garner no respect from me, cuz they don't act like they deserve it." I then leaned back on my chair. "Now, Celestia, she was a leader. One that treated her subordinates and Royal Guardsman with fairness and respect. That mare that showed up and started mocking us and the work we were doing? Don't make me laugh..." I paused for another minute. "As for Than, Discord didn't give him to me. He just showed and saved me just when I thought I was about to kick the bucket..." I then looked directly at the interrogator. "...You can ask him if you like."
  2. @Illiad Easle Oh, great. This guy again. Just as I was about to get some shuteye, too... I slightly opened one of my eyes, irritated by the bright light flooding the cell. I didn't really appreciate the tone of his voice, but I quickly brushed it off. Right now, I've had enough of this padded cell and would very much appreciate getting out of it. "...Sure," I said, getting up and stretching. "Let's get this over with."
  3. I might need a minute to catch up on things so I can get a clear understanding of what's going on.
  4. I'll stick with my old character thanks.
  5. Hello, so I know it's been a hot minute since I last posted, but I'm back. Real life kind of got busy for a bit, but I think I've managed to get to a point where I can post again. I've noticed the RP has gotten really far since I left, is there a way you can still fit me in?
  6. So I've been having a lot of personal issues as of late. I'm not gonna be able to post for a while. Sorry.
  7. @Illiad Easle @Starforce I glared at her. Gave her the evil eye, even. But I kept silent. I didn't feel like arguing at this point; I just wanted the culprit captured. "And I'd do it again too..." I said under my breath at her statement regarding what I did. I didn't care what they thought if they heard me. She wasn't any boss of mine.
  8. @Illiad Easle @Starforce The shock didn't affect Thanatos too much, it would've taken a lot more than that to even make him flinch. I looked at the two guards approaching to arrest me, then back at the arrogant mare who gave the order. So she was one of the founders of this place? If this was life's idea of a joke, well I wasn't laughing. If I knew that was the type of pony I was serving under when I took this job I'd have jumped ship a long time ago. I've no respect for the crass, arrogant "leaders" that act like they're too good for everyone else. Those aren't the type of "leaders" I want to serve. What I did then didn't bother me too much. Did I make a mistake of provoking a founder? Yeah. Would've I have done it again, given the opportunity? Absolutely. Back to the situation at hand, the guards were slowly approaching me, trying to make a move. As Maud ran away, I followed suit. After a minute of running, I caught up to her. If the guards followed, whatever. If they tried anything funny, I'd take care of it. "...She disrespected you," I said to her while running. "No one disrespects my friends. No one."
  9. @Illiad Easle If there's two things Raze hates, it's rudeness, and when someone messes with his friends. Unfortunately for her, she's two for two. So yeah, he's pissed.
  10. @Illiad Easle @Starforce ((I didn't know the next post would be today, I'm sorry)) I stared for a minute at this... rather rude individual before I sighed and shook my head, before I drew my sword and sliced straight up her face, making sure the blade was just close enough to slice her goggles in half. I then whistled for Than who, in the blink of an eye, manifested and stabbed the wall behind her with his sword, the blade a hair's breadth away from her face. "Listen, sweetie..." I said with a calm, yet cold tone, looking at her dead in the eye. "I understand it's your job here to fix and maintain these pipes, and I do apologize for the inconvenience we put you through today, however... I'd say a rebel thief running around with about a month's worth of resources is probably the higher priority, no? And we were hot on their trail too... until you showed up and started telling us how to do our jobs." I paused a minute before speaking again. "Sure, we can go and find someone more... 'competent', as you like to put it. But by time we do that, they might already be gone, and who knows what they might use all that mined material for? One thing could lead to another and before you know it, hundreds, maybe thousands could die." I then leaned in real close to her face. "And if that does happen... and I know you had something to do with it by holding all of us up here, spouting nonsense like you think you know everything? I'm gonna find you." I put a hoof to my temple, tapping it twice. "I memorize faces real well, and the big guy floating behind me? Heh... well, he can sense auras, so you're definitely not getting away. And once I do eventually, inevitably find you? There will be NOTHING... on this ship... that will save you from what I'm going to do. So how about you shut your mouth, help us out, and stop wasting everyone's time?"
  11. @Starforce @Illiad Easle I turned to face Thanatos floating behind me. "You got anything?" After a few seconds of silence, he spoke. "I sense a few energy signatures past this wall... faint, but they are there, moving quite slowly." So we just gotta find a way past here. More cheap illusions... great. I began my own investigation of the wall. If this was just some sort of fake, then the pipes themselves probably wouldn't have any real function. I took a closer look at the pipes themselves. Some of them appeared to have valves on them. Before I touched any of them, though, I turned to Thanatos again. "Than. Tetrakarn. On all of us, please." Thanatos held his hand out, and a white pillar of light flashed around Maud, the guards in the area and myself. "Right then... a bit of precaution in case this blows up..." I looked at Maud. "In case you're confused, I asked Than to put a physical damage reflecting barrier on each of us in here. If the wall's booby trapped or whatever, it'll bounce right off of us. It's single use though, once the barrier gets hit it's gone..." Suddenly I could feel myself getting lightheaded, and I put a hoof to my head "...And it takes a lot out of me. But anyway..." I took a deep breath and carefully picked one of the valves, giving it a turn.
  12. @Starforce @Illiad Easle @Courageous Thunder Dash I quickly closed my eyes when the flash of light appeared, and when I opened my eyes again, the materials were gone, and the perp nowhere to be seen. "Well, shoot..." I said, before noticing Maud trying to bust down some sort of wall panel. I put a hoof on her to get her attention. "Let me get a look at it," I said before observing the panel. It looked rather sturdy, and I theorized we were going to be here all day at the current rate it was taking to destroy it. I began to weigh my options, but the more I began to think, the more it dawned on me that there was only one real solution... If I may... I may be able to cut this wall down with ease. And there it was. I looked around at the guards, then back at the wall. I still had my reservations about using Thanatos openly. What would happen when I summoned him? How was I going to explain him? What would they do to me afterwards? After a minute of debating, I took a deep breath. Right now, someone is threatening the Project, and as a guard, I can't let that slide. I've still got my pride as a former Royal Guardsman after all, and I'm not about to let some two-bit thief and his friends get away with stealing a bunch of hard earned Minostralium. Besides, I guess there's no point in hiding. Eventually, I would've gotten found out. So why bother? "Everyone... stand back." I said. I gave them some time to do as I said, then took another deep breath. "Alright, Than... cut it down." At that moment, Thanatos manifested in a flash of blue light, drawing his sword. "As you say." He then attempted to cut the panel with two quick strokes, one vertical, one horizontal, forming a cross pattern.
  13. @Courageous Thunder Dash @Illiad Easle @Starforce The moment the screeching noise stopped, I immediately switched my sword grip to backhanded and stood up on my hind hooves. I quickly dashed towards the intruder, then slid to a halt. I performed an upwards vertical slash , while using the momentum to simultaneously do a backflip kick, hoping to knick him in the face.
  14. @Starforce @Courageous Thunder Dash I jumped up and grabbed my sword from the ceiling. "Yeah, no," I said as I landed on my feet. "Whatever you have to say, you can do it in a cell after we take you in." I pointed my sword at him. "So how 'bout it?"
  15. @Starforce @Courageous Thunder Dash I was only slightly startled by the metallic sound, but I still maintained my position. I could tell he was trying to throw us off his trail, but I wasn't having any of it. "Only two guards block the exits! The rest of you keep your positions..." I then turned my attention to Thanatos. How are we doing, Than? Find anything? I can only see the vibrational energy coming from the sound... he hasn't revealed himself to me yet. Is that right... Suddenly, I had an idea. Than... can you see that vibrational energy as it hits objects? I can. As soon as he said that, I drew my short sword and hit it against the metal wall, making a loud clang. After several seconds... Above us. I looked up and threw my sword at the ceiling, where it stuck with another loud clang. "Alright, enough hiding!" I exclaimed. "I know you're up there, so why don't you make this easier for all of us and get down here."
  16. @Courageous Thunder Dash Yes please.
  17. @Courageous Thunder Dash So you're aware, everything in italics is all in Raze's head.
  18. @Illiad Easle @Starforce @Courageous Thunder Dash After being given the ok to move the materials, I was given the assignment of taking point. As we moved, however... The rogue energy... I can no longer sense it. I gave a look of confusion at Thanatos's statement. What do you mean you can't sense it? It has... disappeared. I suspect use of suppression magic... Perfect. Just perfect. Well, do you remember the last spot he was at before it disappeared? I do. Then try and keep track of his location from there. He'll probably be moving very slowly towards us, possibly not changing positions, so it shouldn't be too inaccurate. Very well. In the meantime, I turned to the rest of the group. "I'll need one of you to guard the rear. Just in case anyone tries anything funny like an ambush..." I then spoke to Thanatos. Project my thoughts into Maud's head. ...You are connected. Hey, heads up. Than lost track of the energy; looks like he's suppressing it with magic or something. Just keep a watchful eye out.
  19. @Illiad Easle @Starforce Hold. As I was waiting for the Minostralium to move, Thanatos spoke out. I sense something approach... a different energy from the ones already present. I looked around the area, but I couldn't see exactly what he was talking about. There's nothing here, Than. Maybe you're just imagining things? My senses never lie... have a look. My vision darkened, and all I could see were these orbs of light and the faint silhouettes of the ones they belonged to. They were the life energy of every creature in my vicinity. As I looked around once more, I could see one orb slowly approach from one corner of the hangar, but there was no silhouette. I looked away. Hmph... so he's using some invisibility of some sort... Someone who wishes to obtain the Minostralium? Maybe. What shall we do, then? Pretend we don't notice... then, once they're close enough and they there guard is down, we get the jump on them... I glanced at Maud. ...And let her know too. Understood. Thanatos began to project his voice into her mind. Forgive my intrusion, but I have detected the life energy of someone in the vicinity. They are invisible to the naked eye, but they do not seem to have noticed I have spotted them. My master has advised that we let him approach, and once he is close enough, we shall confront him. He also wished to inform you of his plan as well. I will tell you when he is close.
  20. @SuriPolomare @Illiad Easle My eyes slowly opened as I woke up from my sleep. I woke up exactly an hour before my guard shift; which was enough time to take a nice shower and gather my things. I wasn't sure how bad this rebel situation had gotten, but it didn't hurt to be extra prepared. Perhaps this place is not so safe if there are traitors on board, Thanatos said. "Maybe... even so, it's my job to take 'em out if we see them, so that it becomes the safe haven they want it to be," I responded back. Perhaps they are... unhappy with living in a steel fortress, isolated from the rest of the world. "...I think I get your point. But what's worse: living free with the scum and the monsters, or living safe and isolated?" That would depend on who you ask... "...Yeah..." After our brief philosophical debate, I exited my room and made my way over to my post.
  21. @Starforce Glimmer @Illiad Easle At first, I raised my brow at Maud's statement, but then I sighed and nodded,, smiling slightly at her. It was good to know that she could trust me. And after the situation in the cave, I felt like I could trust her too. But now, I really needed to rest. I waved farewell to Maud and made my way back to the residential area of the project. I made my way to my room and went inside, going straight for the bed. With a loud thud, I collapsed on top. The mattress itself was a bit stiff when I first came on board, but after a month of sleeping on bedrolls in tents, it felt like I was laying on a cloud. I laid flat on my back, staring at the ceiling. I began to think about what the general had said back at the hangar. "...A rebel group, huh..."
  22. @Starforce Glimmer @Illiad Easle I gave Maud a questioning look, then turned my attention back to the guards. "For clarity... I distracted them while she collapsed the cave they set up camp in," I said, making way for one of them to take my place. "We kept one alive for questioning, and when that was done, I..." I cut off my sentence and drew a line around my neck with my right hoof, signifying I killed, simultaneously clicking my tongue for added effect.
  23. I realize I've been doing like last minute posts, I apologize; life has been very busy for me these past couple weeks and it's only been getting busier. I'll try to post earlier if I can.
  24. @Illiad Easle @Starforce Glimmer I watched as the changeling left, then sighed. "Maybe you shouldn't be poking your head in places it doesn't belong..." I grumbled to myself. If I may ask... why do you intend to keep my existence a secret? Why? It's simple. I don't trust 'em enough. They may not seem like it, but everyone on that project is either scared, or on edge. If I just pranced around and said 'Hey everypony! There's a warrior spirit that I share a soul with that I'm not sure where it came from or why, but here he is!', I'm pretty sure they're gonna freak out. Probably throw me out. Or even treat me like a lab rat for experimentation. And I'm not about to let that happen. ...Do you not think they will find out eventually? Not if I can help it. ...Are you ashamed of our pact? What...? No, absolutely not. You saved my life. Heck, you're probably even the reason I'm where I'm at right now. But I'm not about to tell everyone about you yet. Only to those I think I can trust. What about the grey one? The one from the ship and the mines? ...That's the other thing. Don't speak to anypony else unless I say so, alright? As you wish... As for her... she doesn't look like the type to blabber on about everything she sees. She'll keep quiet... and if she doesn't, I'll make sure of it. I looked at the aircraft touching down near the camp site. Time to go. I gathered my things and made my way over.
  25. @Illiad Easle Well, I definitely did not expect that today. This one can sense me... Thanatos said. Though his voice usually doesn't change from outside a deep, calm tone I could tell he was... slightly concerned. Well, it ain't exactly that hard to do, anyone half decent with magic can see you from a mile away... figuratively speaking. Look, we just gotta remain calm, alright? Changelings can sense emotions... Doing my best to keep composed, I looked at the changeling and smiled slightly. "I don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about. Maybe you've just been out here for too long? We've all been out here for a while."
