      Jason and Freddy movies are both, wouldn't you say?

      Only in a very loose sense. In something like Blair Witch/The Grudge/Paranormal Activity, the supernatural is the main focus, whereas in Freddy/Jason/Michael Meyers films, the main selling point is "knife go in chest, riiiiiiip, bloody blood, everywhere! HYPERREALISTIC!"
