  1. Another mom at the school should speak up: "Excuse me, but my child gets made fun of because of her ethnicity. I'm sorry it's causing a disruption. Should she leave her skin at home?"
  2. Shut Up and (Fly) - Rihanna (for Rainbow Dash) Battle Without Honor or Humanity - Tomoyasu Hotel (for grand entrance by Chrysalis)
  3. So the Michael Morones charity has now escalated into a Broadway show starring Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf). Raise your hand if you saw THAT coming. Wow...
  4. http://www.michaelmorones.org/ UPDATE***: On Feb. 14, Michael reached a huge milestone! He was able to be lifted from his bed to his special chair, and he tolerated it wonderfully. This is only possible because of the exceptional medical team, and all the love and prayers from everyone out there! Thank you for being so involved in the evolving miracle! #TeamMightyMichael
  5. http://www.chicagonow.com/portrait-of-an-adoption/2014/02/great-new-update-on-michael-morones/ Update on his condition. And it's a good one! C'mon kid, pull through...
  6. Just watched it again. Liked it more. For me, season 4 episodes have grown on me significantly with repeat viewings. It's not the sort of appreciation I have to "squint my eyes" to realise, either - I'm just noticing great stuff the second and third times around I think this season will age quite well. Not necessarily in Ponyville. They're not always addressing us fans, you know. ;-)
  7. 1."Come on, farm thing!" 2. Spike. 3. The voice actors having way too much fun. Trifecta of a great episode, IMHO.
  8. Justin Bieber just tweeted his support for the kid. Not a fan of his. But it would be a good thing if some of his millions of followers donated...
  9. Well, this sufficiently fulfills my lump-in-the-throat quota for today... BTW: I understand and appreciate the back and forth re: suicide, but I'd add that this kid is only 11. It's usually pretty difficult to make decisions involving life and death at that age. Feelings of hopelessness often seem insurmountable.
  10. *ears pinned back, hugging my "brohoof" points* It's okay... you still matter...you still matter...
  11. Discord as Hunter S. Thompson > The Big Lebowski reference. Want to tell others how the show shoe-horns in subversive stuff for the older crowd? This is now your go-to. He's even got a "cigarette" in his mouth.
  12. My reaction after seeing it the first time: pretty good episode. But I'm suspecting that, like all the episodes so far this season, I'll really, really like it after the second or third time I've seen it.
  13. Saw this episode again tonight. So far, shows this season have all looked far better upon repeat viewing (to me). This one now ranks as one of my favorites of the series.
  14. Weird Al's guest role looks like it's got great potential. And, best of all, it could lead to an appearance later in the series by Meryl Streep as the evil fashionista whom Rarity has an internship with in Manehattan - "The Devil Wears Prada [horseshoes]".
  15. I can see how some might call this a "minor" episode - light and whimsical. Yes. I also think it's one of the funniest of the series thus far. And, if hard-pressed to show someone a single episode to define the series, I might suggest this one. It's by no means the best, but it's emblematic of everything about the show that's fun (for me).
  16. Not at all; thank you! I'm posting via phone and couldn't do it. I'm of the same mindset now, having seen the quote...I need Mayor Mare to confirm this via press conference.
  17. Wikipedia update source seems to be the same article. I wanna celebrate, but I want assurance!
  18. "We have My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. We are now going into our fifth season—just a tremendous success for us. We are now going into our second season of Littlest Pet Shop. We introduced a new character into the Littlest Pet Shop world, called Blythe. She’s a really cute pre-teen who can talk to our Littlest Pets and they have created this wonderful world that little girls are really responding to. Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony both, from a ratings perspective against other girl-skewing shows, are doing tremendously well in the international market." Ugh...LPS is on season 2 right now. This needs clarification...
  19. Some are worried because he said, "We're just going into our fifth season..." and think he may have misspoke. But I kind of doubt it because, if anyone would know, he would. Keep your eyes on the news feeds and post what you find...
  20. Head on over - they just posted the news. Source is Hasbro Studio president Steven Davis... http://www.equestriadaily.com/2014/01/season-5-confirmed.html
  21. This episode was quality. Enjoyed it from start to finish. Most everything else I could say has already been said. (P.S. I loved the Grumpy Cat cutie mark. I don't care that it wasn't poni-fied. I don't care that it was obvious. I don't care that it was fan pandering. In fact, I'm pleased as punch that it was all three.)
  22. I honestly didn't think any of the "cliffhangers" we've had so far in S4 - except for the box - were going to be referenced later on. I mean, they could be, but I don't expect them to be. Won't be disappointed if they aren't.
  23. That amulet has to show up again at some point, yes. I'm hoping it lands on Opal's neck and she makes cat-based mischief all throughout Ponyville, though I don't know if it'll happen in S4. However, I'm almost 100& certain we'll see Trixie in S4 because of the fan-focused tidbits we've seen so far this season. I'm pretty sure the writers are well-aware of her fanbase.
  24. I love the reference in this episode to Helen Lovejoy on The Simpsons:
