Now for a somewhat long post from a person who think's they know what they are talking about :3 Well, lets try to design a game without changing Rainbowdash's character or personality and only using what is canon. Rainbowdash has a tomboyish personality, so the 2 genre's I could come up with that would complement that was action or racing. You could do adventure, but I don't see Rainbowdash as the adverture-yy type. (You could get away with it by combining action and adventure, but doing adventure alone would not work well with her personality). Rainbowdash is a pegasus, so it would only make sense for the main focus of the game to be flying. In a racing game, this would work extraordinarily well. For action/adventure, a flying based gameplay could clearly be done, I just personally don't know how. Rainbowdash is all about speed, and once again, racing would go well with this since the point of a racing game is to cross finish first (unless its a finish last kind of thing...which is kinda..what?) For an action game, this means that the gameplay has to be fast pace which for an action game would be easy, but I couldn't see an adventure game working with this. If an adventure game is fast pace, it kinda defeats the purpose of it (especially if there's a story). If the above was met, then yes it would be a fun game. (As long as..you know...everything else with the game was good..) However, now you are limited to the type and kind of game you can make. (Unless...of course you wanted to use fanon stuff)

Whats wrong with grimdark? I remember way back in 2011 when I first joined the fandom, I would read tons of grimdark fanfic's. Why? Because there fun to read, its like reading a horror story. Maybe its just personal preference, but I don't see anything wrong with grimdark stories. Its a type of genre, theres nothing wrong with it. Even if it goes overboard, the point is to scare you (but going overboard kind of kills the effect).

1. A Luna song 2. A full season 3. Actually good episodes. And to be honest, I really hope I don't see the CMC get there cutie marks. There would be no point to the CMC club and no point for a Sweetiebelle, Applebloom, or a Scootaloo episode. I see the CMC as an on going gag through out the series the writers can use. And when the time comes (the last few episodes or the last season), they can get there cutie marks to mark the end of an on going adventure. (To put it laymen terms, the CMC getting there cutie marks is the same as Twilight getting wings.)

It seems like in the beginning, Applejack was suppose to be the bearer of Loyalty and Rainbow Dash the bearer of Honesty, but then got changed later on. However, I do see OP's point, but there are plenty of examples that would say the opposite.

Personally, I only ponify things that are personal to me (in other words, only I see them). An example would be my phone, computer and comments in my code. I'm not a closet brony though, mostly everyone I know, knows that I'm a brony and as long as I don't shove it down there throat there fine with it. So to answer OP's question, no there's nothing wrong with it. Just be aware that other people have opinions about ponies and you better be ready to hear them because you're bound to get them if you ponify everything. But, you shouldn't really care about what other people think, as long as you're not harming anyone then who cares.
