  1. Not gonna lie, I honestly think that a lot of analysts (mind you, I'm using the word loosely) are missing the point of why we love this show and the sense of community it brings. I'm not just referring to KP here, I'm talking about the majority of the people in that circle. Those who come here mainly for the attention, do not deserve anyone working under them for free.

Good on Minty Root and AnonKPLeaks for speaking out.

  2. Hi there Flittery Heart, glad you're enjoying your time on MLPForums. While I'm not a part of the site's moderation team, I am sure that they're working with plenty of applications like yours and will eventually respond to your application sooner or later. Even if you're turned down, there are still ways to contribute to the community (such as beta testing,) so don't get discouraged just yet!

Either way, I welcome you as a new member to MLPForums.

  3. Only if Half-Life 3 comes out the day before and Sanders get elected. You're talking about Hasbro, a company primarily focused on toys and board games going up against a multinational media conglomerate which subsidiaries include, but not limited to:

    • Marvel Entertainment, a entertainment company that is known for Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain America: Civil War is the most recent movie in the MCU and has grossed far beyond $1m as of last week.
    • Lucasfilm, and film and television production company that has created successful film franchises such as Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and The Land Before Time.
    • Pixar, a American computer animation film studio that has released genre defining 3D animated films such as Toy Story, The Incredibles, and WALL-E.

Hasbro has been successful in their own right as well, releasing several successful toy-lines that has even found their way into the silver screen and having been around as long as Disney, both companies opening in the early 1920s. But the fact of the matter is Disney is in a bigger ballpark and Hasbro is just out of their league. Plenty of people may dislike Frozen and the production team probably hated the final product, but spite won't help MLP take over Hyperion. If Jem's transition into Hollywood is any foreshadowing for what will happen in 2017, don't expect a Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

  4. Seasonal rot? Where were you half-way through Season 2? So far I've been fairly impressed by the season. I'm still somewhat disappointed with Starlight's redemption, but other than that I can say that the show's okay in my book.

  5. Yes, you can live off of MLP as a reliable source of income.

If you're Hasbro, that is.  :P

If I were in their shoes it'd be smart to get a decent paying job and leave the fandom merch and Patreon as both a hobby and a additional source of income. I'd also branch out my talents to other fandoms, as I don't see the pony business lasting longer than 2022. And that's not getting into the legal roadblocks you have to drive around

    1. The general lack of good male characters.
    2. The show's generally awful handling of characters with anxiety disorders and mental illnesses.
    3. *The decrease of Slice of Life stories.
    4. My Little Pony: Racism is Magic The questionable undertones of episodes that feature non-pony characters, excluding Zecora's post-Bridle Gossip appearances and most episodes featuring Spike.
    5. The portrayal of Discord post-"redemption".
    6. *Color schemes and designs of certain ponies.
    7. The unreasonable lack of a single Princess Celestia episode.
    8. Starlight Glimmer post-The Cutie Remark.
    9. How Derpygate was unprofessionally handled.
    10. Spike in general.

    * = Minor complaint.

  6. I dislike Flash Sentry because he is Flash Sentry.

Look at me all bold and stuff

Flash Sentry is the centerpiece of everything people dislike about EQG. He's generic, he's predictable, he's insignificant, he's unnecessary, and above all else his scenes are so goddamn boring to sit through. There's boy bands and stale bread out there that have more character than Flash Sentry. I like EQG unironically and I can't even think of a good argument for Flash Sentry; he's literally that one driver in front of you who won't make a turn and get you stuck in a red light even though there weren't any cars coming by.

  7. Yes! Yes! Yes!

I'm not against the idea of redemption in shows but Jesus Christ does the show execute this trope horribly. Discord and Starlight are the worst offenders of this. Sunset's similarly poor redemption eventually paid off in RR, and Diamond Tiara's is by far the best execution of this trope.

The redeemed Discord has so far shown that he might as well still be a villain. He still act like a complete dick who torment others for his own amusement. For crying out loud he helped Tirek escape from Tartarus. And Starlight reached a new low with her half assed backstory on why she became a mind controlling communist who put Equestria in a variety of different post-apocalyptic worlds and somehow was forgiven by everyone in the Mane 6 even though the only one she really has any chemistry with at all is Twilight.

Who's it gonna be next? Tirek the warlord? Chrysalis the terrorist who manipulated everyone into thinking she was the real Cadence? Flim Flam the monopolistic business ponies who tried to run the Apple family out of business?

  8. My username is Edgeworth1001. You can say I'm on the Edge.

AJ's favorite meal? Drinking Applejack with Apple Jacks.

Twi and Dash slept together. I guess you can say Twilight tasted the Rainbow.
