  1. *yawn* Cool story bro, needs more Liam Neeson. In all seriousness, I've never seen the appeal in Mel Gibson. He was decent in Mad Max and I like Passion of the Christ (even though it seriously freaks me out), but other then that I didn't much like him. Oh, wait, the Patriot. And Braveheart. But that wasn't so much for him as for the whole story behind it.
  2. Gru lives in Dullsville, Viktor Vasko lives in 1920's St. Louis, The Beast from Beauty and the Beast lives in a ruined castle, Prince Naveen lives in Meldonia, and Roger from 101 Dalmations lives in The City. Puh-leeeze. Location has nothing to do with it. xD
  3. Um, so far just Ocarina of Time on the N64. I've finished that several times. Actually, I've gotten 100% on Tigger's Hunny Hunt several times now, too... Don't you people judge me.
  4. Oh, sweetie, don't worry. You're just crushing on a fictional character. I do that all the time, and don't worry, you're not weird for crushing on an animated fictional character, either. I've been nursing a crush on Gru from Despicable Me for quite some time now. ^^ It's totally normal, especially for teens/young adults. Best of luck finding those fanfictions and fanart of AJ!
  5. Of course! I'm most like Twilight Sparkle - studious, diligent, loves to read, learn and write, occasionally has enormous meltdowns over small things. But I love Rarity the most - beautiful, intelligent, artistic, creative, and well-liked by higher class people. I suppose I'm too much of a rube to be like Rarity. xD Ah well. Win some, lose some.
  6. All right, fair point, but we haven't seen Rainbow Dash take any initiative yet, unless it was for her own gain. The biggest, most proud moment I had for RD was when she stood up to Lightning Dust and Spitfire. That was a great moment of character development, but it kind of faded away after that. Like I've stated previously, given enough time she could be an excellent leader, but right now she's just interested in leading other people because they'll look up to her, and puff up her ego some more.
  7. ^^ Talking to God is great. I think most people talk to God, or some form of deity, when they're desperate or in pain. Psalm 145:18 says "All who call on him, call on him in truth." Sometimes that's the difficulty with being a Christian and constantly being asked questions about your faith; you talk to God and sometimes you're either too busy or too stressed to answer. So I always think God isn't listening to me. Oh well. I always wondered about that. Do atheists talk to other agnostics or atheists about their faith-related questions? Do they inadvertently lead each other to some form of religion? I have a lot of agnostic friends but none of them are interested in talking about religion with me. Well gee, I wonder why...
  8. HOLY MACKERAL THAT THING IS FREAKY!!! DXX Back on topic, I adore rabbit, and calamari, and powdered hot chocolate mix. Yeah, no water or milk, just the powder. I only eat it in the winter when there's nothing else to eat in the house. Oh, and I love putting a marshmallow or two in the microwave for a few seconds, and then eating it with Club crackers.
  9. It used to be. Judging from my circle of friends (nearly all of whom are ex-military), loyalty doesn't seem to be playing a big part in the military nowadays. :/ But that's neither here nor there; RD could be a decent general, maybe, but I don't think she has the ability to face the moment when people are dying, and they're trapped in a corner, and three people turn to her and say, "What do we do?" I think she'd suffer from frustration and anxiety, and crumble pretty quickly. I also don't see her sitting on a throne all day signing edicts and laws. The exciting part of being a ruler might fit her just fine, but the public appearances, speeches, and approvals would have her bored senseless. ^^ Edit: I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERE AND THEY'RE DANGIT. X_X I do. Honest. It was a slip.
  10. Why thank you! I get that a lot on these boards, for some reason. I meet those kind a lot too. They seem to really focus on the Old Testament and ignore the New Testament, and completely miss the fact that the whole darned Bible is about loving and being loved. I have some old-fashioned ideals, but I try not to judge others based on their opinions. ^^ Sometimes my temper gets in the way of that... I also find a lot of people on the internet who have, like, the craziest ideas about Christians. It's awfully hard sometimes to see people trashing Christianity as a whole because of bad experiences with one or two people, or a church. :/
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAyacUBQAVw One question haunts and hurts, Too much, too much to mention, Was I really seeking good, Or just seeking attention? That lyric in particular speaks to me. Plus, this is just a fantastic song from an incredible musical, sung by an inordinately talented singer. ^^
  12. We all have the ability to be a leader, but can we make good leaders? I've been following RD's character development too, and I think she has a long, long, long way to go before her character arc will be complete. Of the Mane Six's personality flaws, hers is the most serious and the most common, and therefore the most frustrating to watch. (At least for me.) I think Rainbow Dash could be a good leader if given the time to mature, and if given the appropriate cabinet. She would definitely make a good military leader, that's for sure, although she would need someone to pin her wings now and then and tell her not to rush off into battle.
  13. Yes, as a matter of fact, I have! We have the New England Patriots and Pokémon and plain old regular editions. We're big Monopoly players in our house, although I usually always lose. The idea of "not buying the really expensive places because they're expensive to build on" thing doesn't occur to me until I have ten bucks left...
  14. Overwhelmingly atheist population, I see. Oh well. I'm a born-again Christian, if you couldn't tell. Basically a peace & zen thing, love everyone regardless of anything. xD Sometimes that's hard to do, though, but I certainly try.
  15. I very seldom listen to the radio - the commercials bore me. I prefer Pandora and YouTube, although when I do listen to the radio, it's usually decent. The morning show they have is terrible, however. Probably a 5/10.
  16. Let's break this down: Fluttershy: Terrified of saying the wrong thing, and we have seen she hates being in a position of power. (Green Isn't Your Color). Would probably be scared of offending people, and would completely lose her head in a war or political struggle. However, we have seen she is working on being assertive and is capable of standing up for herself. (Putting Your Hoof Down). 3/10 Rainbow Dash: Strong and loyal, would probably make an excellent ruler, but a poor strategist. Still has an amazing amount of maturing to do, but will most likely form long-lasting alliances. However, keeping peace may be a difficulty with her, and we have seen pride go to her head. (Mysterious Mare-Do-Well). All in all, definitely a short-list name. 6/10 Rarity: Seen excelling at running a business (A Dog and Pony Show, Sweet and Elite, etc.,) and therefore would be good managerial material. Is capable of managing other people well and making other ponies like her, despite giving orders (Green Isn't Your Color). However, is very emotional and prone to breakdowns (Every Episode Known To Mankind). Would probably go insane in a crisis. 8/10 Pinkie Pie: Do not consider. Would make a terrible ruler. Equestria would be in total chaos, anarchy would reign, and the entire world would be bathed in the light of neon pink. 0/10 Applejack: Hardworking, honest, and capable of handling huge amounts of pressure and work. Most definitely keeps her head in a crisis, although would most likely be unable to compete with the finer games of politics. Would make a very good, down-to-earth ruler but has been known to be prideful (Applebuck Season, The Last Roundup). 9/10 So it would probably come down to Rarity or AJ.
  17. Tired of being mistaken for a boy because of the "Earl". Shield your eyes, the pink is BLINDING!

No, thank god. I said NEAR dc, not in it. I wouldn't live there if you paid me. But thanks for the concern though.

xD Oh, good. You're welcome. That place sounds a little insane. O_O

I know. A few times, on 14th street at night, the homeless just fill the streets. I don't go to dc as much as I use to. The train system is a complete joke, and you can't go to a club without getting shot at. I take it things are safe in NE?

  18. Ooh, I love this topic! ^^ For girls, I've always liked Daphne, Felicity, Simone, Penelope, Alicia, Anne, Lucy, Cleo, and Bethany. My first choice would probably be Daphne, or Simone Alica. (I could call her Mona Lisa as a nickname, xD. I'm odd like that.) For boys, I like Glen, Theodore, Luke, Matthias, William, Jack, Chad, and Spencer. First choice would probably be Theodore, and then Jack Spencer. xD
  19. Homygosh, I pop my knuckles all the time. And as a result, my knuckles are now stupidly large and I can never wear rings. I'll have to tattoo my wedding band on. X_X
  20. Of course I did! I actually had two, Emily and Elizabeth. My brother was often away playing with older kids, so I had those two to keep me company. Whenver my mother would take a picture with her finger over the lens, I would grab it and squeal, "Look! It's Emily!" or whatever. My mother was fantastic at humoring me, and she'd always put the pictures up on the refrigerator. I had a birthday for them, too, and got three slices of cake. Yeah, I was kind of odd...
  21. *shuffles* Um, I haven't seen them all either. I just get awfully busy whenever I want to sit down and watch a whole season or a bunch of episodes in a row. I've seen most of S2 an all of S3, but practically the entire first season I've missed. You'd think I'd watch things in chronological order, but I just skip around to whichever has cool titles. ^^ Next weekend, I'm hoping to plan a Pony Marathon where I watch the entire first season. Let's see how long that plan lasts. xD
  22. HOLY CRAP I EXIST AGAIN!!!! I'm back, peeps! XD

Oh cool! It's a good thing that you didn't watch Son of the Mask, I would have to call Santa Christ to help you. :3

  23. I've stated my arguments both for and against Rarity and Rainbow Dash separately in other threads, but I'll definitely cast my vote for Rarity. Love that pony. ^^
  24. Part of me knows how you feel. I was looking for Rarity images with my mother, since she wanted to know which pony I liked best, and up comes a rather inappropriate RariDash picture. Granted, we were pretty far down in the Google Images and my mature content filter was off, but still. I mean, that's my mother. But then the other part of me goes Who The Heck Cares?! I personally don't care what or who gets you off. What you do in your bedroom or on your laptop is your business, so long as you're not hurting anyone. And believe it or not, I've seen some truly gorgeous, breathtaking artwork on dA that involves Flutterdash or SoarinDash or what have you. So my suggestion is, if you're looking for pony artwork, deviantart and derpibooru have some fantastic filters that keep most of the questionable stuff out. And if you're determined to look on Google Images, temporarily turn your mature filter on. Don't try to fight the existence of R34 MLP stuff. You won't win. But you can fight your exposure to it.
  25. Not really, I had fun. And I'm glad you like it. The colt took...about two hours? Yeah, about that, since I had to snip out the background and that takes forever. X_X And then I had to see if it would look nicer as a vectored image (smoothing out lines, pixels, etc.,), but it didn't. Plus the mane took a while since I'm still trying to figure out how to make them. ^^
