  1. Bonus points for drawing your own siggy, but I think it needs to be...redone? 4/10. :3
  2. I'd forgotten to mention that! For some reason, that line was my favorite in the whole episode. This episode had a lot of great moments, actually, like Twilight's big wing-and-smile spread upon discovering the books, and of course, Pinkie's bell ringing. But that was a great line, and great delivery. Tabitha St. Germain owns my soul. X_X
  3. Wow! Finally watched it and I liked it quite a bit. I love how it tied directly into the season opener, which is making me excited for the possibility of a flowing, coherent season like a real show. xD The animation was spectacular and I loved the expressions they gave everyone, like using Twilight's wings to exaggerate her smiles and emotions. Rarity and Fluttershy was very enjoyable, and I fell off my chair laughing when Fluttershy thought Angel was crushed. (That sounds morbid when I type it out, but I swear to God, it was funny.) I actually really loved Rarity in this episode, trying to restore ancient art so everyone can enjoy it, and I didn't see much greed on her part at all. And she knew Fluttershy was overreacting about Angel, so that may explain her eye-roll when Fluttershy started looking for the nasty little rabbit. It was also very refreshing to see the rivalry between AJ and RD rekindled! Fall Weather Friends is one of my favorite episodes, and seeing the whole bee-state contest was very fun. ^^ All in all, it was a great episode, with just the perfect balance of humor and slice-of-life. Although is it just me, or has Pinkie's voice gotten higher and harder to understand?
  4. I LOVE this outfit! I love the old Batman villains, I'd wish we'd seen more of them. And this may sound awkward, but has anyone ever told you that you look just like Amy Adams in Enchanted?
  5. Since you've changed the title of this thread, I suppose I'll weigh in again. No, Fluttershy should not become a Princess. Number one, she's unfit for leadership. Yes, she's kind, but the only thing we've seen her manage is fluffy animals. She's very rarely stepped up and took charge of the group (I can only think of one time she's done this, in Dragonshy, and even then she didn't really lead, more retaliate). Number two, she would never want to be princess. She's much too shy and squeaks when anyone looks at her. Can you imagine an entire nation looking up to her for direction and wisdom? Fluttershy hasn't had the proper training, she shows zero interest in becoming any kind of a leader, and knows very well that she's "weak and helpless", as she's stated herself. This makes it all sound like I hate Fluttershy, but I don't. I think she's one of the more...simple of the Mane Six, and she doesn't have the complexity of Rarity or Twilight or even Pinkie Pie, but there's a certain adorable charm to her that I never get tired of. Let's face it, Twilight has been trained, practically since birth, for this position. Looking back at the three seasons, everything pointed to it. The endless letters to Celestia, the missions they had to go on, the Elements of Harmony coincidentally all happening to be in the same town, Celestia and Luna epically foreshadowing Season 4 in the beginning of Season 3, Cadence teaching Twilight how to handle herself under stress...everything just piles up. I like Alicorn Twilight. I hated the idea at first and thought the whole episode was handled incredibly sloppily, but I like what I've seen of Season Four and the character arc Twilight is going through. I think she's a solid, relateable character who fully deserves the position she's achieved.
  6. I like making cute pictures of my OC. And this is the cutest one yet, how can you not like it??
  7. Oh no, lol, don't get me wrong, I love me some good Trollestia! But I enjoy it knowing it has very little to do with the actual show. And I don't think shooting a laser from her horn to save a friend would be considered a PG rating. Heck, Disney movies have far worse, and most of them are G rated. All in all, I just think it's going over the top in terms of what we're looking at.
  8. For insanity--he obviously thinks he's a candle and tried to light himself.
  9. Aww, I thought that whole tea scene was an effort to make her subjects more relaxed. Oh well. Why am I sticking up for Celestia again, lol? She's not my favorite princess. And to the best of my knowledge, she told Fluttershy directly afterwards. Yes, but sometimes nitpicking goes too far, and especially with a subject title like "Twilight is losing her innocence" implies that this is a gigantic, huge thing that permanently mars her character, when it's really only a tiny, nitpicky thing. And as a firm lover of Nostalgia Critic, I love to nitpick. ^^ But it does occasionally take away from the enjoyment of the show.
  10. Er, wasn't the whole point of that episode was that if Fluttershy had just asked Celestia, she would have known? Celestia didn't know what happened to her bird, she just knew that she was molting and would probably respawn any day now. And she was very upfront about it when Fluttershy encountered her. Edit: I also think this whole thread is reading way, way, way, waaaaaaaaay too deeply into something that lasted less than three seconds. This is too much for me--total and unequivocal nitpicking that I'm doing right now.
  11. Ehhh... Discord has never, at least in my mind, fit into the whole master-apprentice thing. Maybe if the season was purely about reforming Discord, and the girls were teaching the lessons to him. But otherwise, I don't think it would fit. ^^ And seeing him in every episode would erase part of his charm, I suppose. I don't know, I'll have to think about it.
  12. I would ordinarily say "You can never have too much Discord!" but that's probably because we've seen very little of him in the first place. I would like to see more of him, seeing as Return of Harmony 1 & 2 is not only my favorite season opener, but catch me on the right day and I'll say it's my favorite episode. So...probably a moderate amount? I don't want to be overexposed to him.
  13. I just rewatched this bit. (34:20) http://youtu.be/A5Amvg_dKc4 Firstly, the plant clearly attacked her. She was in an injured, semi-unconscious, delirious state. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, she was saving Pinkie from harm!! Pinkie jumped up and said "Ta-da!", unknowing that the plant was sneaking up behind her. Twilight wasn't just acting in self-defense, she was being a hero. And when has Celestia shown signs of having a dark side?
  14. I've said this before in random places I believe, but probably Fancy Pants. There isn't a stallion version of my ideal guy yet, but I enjoy Fancy Pants and his interactions with Rarity. Although that redheaded mailpony has a rather nice design. He feels like a ponified animator, or something.
  15. ^ This. In addition to that thought, Twilight didn't even technically kill it. She simply "pruned" a bit off of a larger plant that just so happened to be attempting to kill her and her friends. And later, she didn't even kill the larger plant--the tree, no longer choked by Discord's plunder seeds, simply reigned in the Everfree and essentially did it's job. I don't think this is at all a sign of the show going to a darker place. It's a plant! And even after that fact, it's self-defense!
  16. Hello hello hello, my darling potato minions! Your friendly neighborhood stalker is once again on the prowl and demanding your opinion! As a few of you might have noticed, I haven't been online much recently, largely due to a busy schedule and college and whatnot. But that doesn't mean I have given up drawing ponies! Quite on the contrary, I hope to finish up some sketches digitally and then post them here for all to see. But first, I want to ask a few questions. I've started developing my own...style, I suppose it is, simply for aesthetic value, and I want to see if people like it. I started off trying for show-accurate ponies, but then it sort of branched off into this slimmer, taller build which I rather like. Could you take a look and tell me what you think?
  17. I...I wish I was this noble? I honestly do. But I watch all of them on YouTube anyway, since I very rarely have time to physically sit in front of a TV. Usually I'm multitasking and watching the episode at the same time. I'm waiting until Saturday because it's like having my cake and eating it too. I'm patient, I'll save this sugary cupcake for later~
  18. On a more serious note, that is the cutest gosh-darned bunny!

  20. Ugh, for Pixar I can't choose! Either Up or The Incredibles. Or maybe Ratatouille. Gosh, I can't pick!! As for Dreamworks, probably Road to El Dorado. I LOVE that film, it's funny and beautifully animated with some fantastic voice acting. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good bromance. Ooh, wait, I nearly forgot about How To Train Your Dragon! That is an incredible film, gorgeously animated and wonderfully told!
