I say 'lawl' or 'lulz' as a response to something I find ironically amusing, or something *intended* to be amusing but isn't quite enough to elicit a genuine laugh from me. God help me if it ever replaces my actual laugh.
Still, I don't find it nearly as offensive as when people actually say "oh-em-gee!" I seriously want to punch them in the fucking SOUL.
