    I rather see Spike actually developed as a character rather just use to be a comic relief, though I guess season 3 sort of did that.

      Yeah, that sounds like something DT would say. However, that "Applejack is background pony" joke is really old.

      I have to disagree. I think Spike is a main character. He has had plenty of character development and is involved in the plot of many episodes. Spike at Your Service and Just fot Sidekicks, for example. Also, no, I don't think DT would make that joke.
