Ah-you're going over. Too much is almost as bad as not enough. Man, if I sleep in I'm Screwed for the rest of the day. You can't make it up in a block on the weekends-believe me, I've tried. how close to bed time do you work out? that can have an effect-even if you're asleep you're not going into slow wave sleep-just skimming along on the surface because your BP is up.

I` don't know-that's pretty close man. We might have stumbled onto one of the causes of your problem.
I take pre-workouts when I train, and as such have gotten used to training earlier in the day so they are out of my system before I try and sleep-you might be just getting rem sleep for longer than normal because of your workouts being close to bedtime and your blood pressure being up.
