They can be right brats. When I worked in the supermarket, I asked, very respectfully, for school kids to put their rubbish in the bins. They responded by leaving all their lunch waste, AROUND the bins.

I later bumped into one when I was out of work. He seemed very uncomfortable by the time I had finished politely telling him that he and his friends were arseholes who didn't deserve to be treated like adults. The fact that I was smiling very cheerfully might be what upset him.
