  1. So, why am I supporting Vermin Supreme?:

    1) as a protest against the duopoly of the bipartisan system. The limited choices between Democrats and Republicans (who aren't that different from each other), and more importantly the sociopolitical and cultural divides they've created, have put Americans at each others' throats for far too long.

    2) as a libsoc who empathized with Bernie and his platform, it angered me when the establishment Dems booted him out for Biden. I was already strongly anti-establishment beforehand, but the DNC choosing a diet Donald Trump (and a symptom of the already unlikable Obama administration to boot) not only solidified my anarchist leanings, but bolstered them, and firmly established my place among America's all-too overlooked and underrated libertarian party.

    3) Like Bernie, Vermin is probably the most real, relatable politician out there. He's dissatisfied with the American nation, and given the post-2016 political climate, no one blames him.

    4) I strongly support non-violent direct action and pranksterism. Vermin, in the tradition of organizations and individuals like the Yippies and Jello Biafra, uses humor and absurdity to push the boundaries of "serious" politics. And I fully believe everything needs a bit of levity and lightheartedness.

  2. if any of you follow me on Twitter, you'll know how I've staunchly supported Bernie, right? Well, he's dropped out of the race for Democratic Party candidate. So, I've decided to start supporting Vermin Supreme for the Libertarian Party (since I'm registered to that party). Seriously, this dude is my ideal politician.

Is he guaranteed to win? Realistically, no. But I'm still gonna vote for him if he does get the candidacy.

Make way for Tanya the Evil 2.0

      Spoiler

This determined magical girl has deep-set white eyes and shoulder-length, straight, thick, smoke-gray hair worn in an elegant style. She has a very feminine figure. She has evil powers that are invoked by an axe. Her odd, military-style costume is gray and green in even proportions.

      Samurai Equine

This vain magical girl has droopy violet eyes and waist-length, straight, thick, chalk-white hair worn in an alluring style. She has a wide-hipped figure. She has magic powers that are focused through a helpful spirit. Her outfit is mostly gray and orange, and it resembles a gypsy dress.

 Odd color scheme aside, sounds like a heroic magical girl that is being manipulated/hypnotized into being evil.

  7. If you had to ask me what my music is tone-wise, I'd have to say it's somewhere between the biting satire of the Dead Kennedys and the booze-and-sex-fueled B-movie schlock of the Cramps...with the strange wordplay and humor of Weird Al Yankovic.

  8. My favorite bit is the "Closer" section.

  10. Wait, you drew that banner!? That's amazing work!

  11. This is so appropriate it hurts.

As a Bernie Sanders supporter, hard-leaning libertarian socialist, and someone who has a very mixed opinion on Marx, I approve.

Ahhh, the awkwardness of buying "balloons" for a night of passion. :sealed: Can't speak for myself in this regard, but I'd have my partner(s) come with me to alleviate the crippling social anxiety from such a situation.

  13. EEEE, YESYESYES! Have you ever seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show?
  14. I took the Political Compass test again with a clearer understanding of the questions. Here are the results.

    chart?ec=-7.63&soc=-6.92

Only things I answered differently from last time were in regards to the statements on astrology and natural luck (strongly agree).

  15. Hmmm...I kinda wanna start either a group PM/topic for discussing the Hellenic faith. However, there are two major problems:

    A) Would such violate the rules?

B ) I don't want to seem like I'm evangelizing my "pagan" beliefs (what an odd contradiction). I just want to follow in the footsteps of the great philosophers - Aristotle, Socrates, and Plato; I seek to educate and discuss, not to convert. I'm not wanting to say "You're wrong, I'm right, bow before the gods" . I'm wanting to ask questions and make you think.

    1. Bastian

For a I can't help but for B just make that statement clear and there shouldn't be any problems.

    2. Samurai Equine

      Samurai Equine

You'll have to ask the admins about that. It depends on whether or not they have the ability to read other people's private messages.

I'd like to think PM's are the one place where we have privacy and the rules are a lot more loose, but I wouldn't know.

Hope that helps. :) I'm not really interested in the discussion, but I hope you find plenty of civilized people who are. I respect your beliefs and accept them as an equally valid possibility, but I'm happy enough with my own that I'm just not currently looking to explore the ins and outs of another belief system.
