I don't really like it when people complain about the politicization of something... While, in the process, politicizing it, in some cases even further, themselves. I agree we shouldn't be putting things that have nothing to do with politics into a political context, but being political in the process of saying that makes it absurdly hypocritical.

I'm starting ritualistic meditation as part of my efforts as a Discordian. I feel that, as Mal-2 said, since we seldom pray (because prayer is dangerous when used excessively and foolishly) it is meditation that allows us to grow closer to Goddess, an idea that goes back to Discordianism's ultimate roots in Buddhist and Hinduist practice.

My goals are to meditate no less than three times every day, and no more than five.

Here is an update on my cat:

He is being cared for at my local veterinary clinic. He will be admitted until Monday night. Everything is going well so far.

Sitting in the passenger's seat in the parking lot while my dad is inside a shop, and I'm literally belting this song in full public view.

I had to take my cat into the emergency veterinarian office tonight where he was diagnosed with a urethral obstruction. For those of you who may not know, that means the urethra is blocked with either urinary crystals or inflammation. While it is common in male cats, it is a life-threatening condition if not treated quickly. Unfortunately, we could not afford leaving him overnight at that clinic so instead, they flushed out his bladder, gave subcutaneous fluids, and sent us home with antispasmodic medication. First thing in the morning, we will take him to a low cost veterinary clinic for further care.
