As a psychobilly artist with plenty of influences ranging from blues rock to hardcore punk to indie, jangle, and power pop, I've come to realize you can approach a genre of music in many different ways, and from many different angles. Let's look at psychobilly as a whole, and compare the popular view with several bands in the genre (and thus their approaches):
Popular view of psychobilly: "50s rockabilly meets punk and trash culture."
example 1: Reverend Horton Heat
Example 2: Tiger Army
Example 3: The Cramps
Example 4: Volbeat
-----
The point I'm trying to make here is that none of these bands are limited by the supposed confines of their genre. They're altogether similar, but also unique.
rant over. Carry on.

I'd sure hate to be the person who left HER at the altar.

@Renegade the Unicorn Yes I know, but you brought them to my attention. I thank you!

@Anti-Villain @Treeglow Flicker If it were me, I wouldn't have left her at the altar.

-
Me neither.

I don't remember much from Malcolm in the Middle, but this, of all scenes, sticks out in my memory for whatever reason.

I am so happy and grateful for my girlfriend.

I'm thinking of doing a series of reviews based around Frank Zappa's work with the Mothers of Invention (1966-1975), which consisted of around 18 (technically 19 if one counts Lumpy Gravy) albums; live and studio.

Decided to change my avatar up a bit.

Uhhh...I'm ready for my checkup.

@Tacodidra and @Treeglow Flicker are probably the two ponies here who support my musical ambitions the most. It's great, and I couldn't ask for better musically-inclined buddies.

@Treeglow Flicker I mean, the two of us share a mutual admiration of Motown...

"Ooh vah la, pootie mootie, " he sang. "Ooh vah la, pootie mootie!" ~
God, this is probably one of my favorite Ween tunes! I liked the doomier, sludgy original from The Caesar Demos, but the final version's grown on me a while lot more.

As much as I love Pink Floyd's material, I'm actually kind of disappointed they didn't get off the ground earlier - they could have been an amazing blues band.

Ladies and gents, the Aussie Beatles themselves, the Easybeats!

Speaking of my first EP, here's my outlining of the tracklisting:
All songs written by me unless noted.
Side A
1) Til' Death Do Us Part
2) She's So Strange (And Unusual)
3) Peanut Butter (Hidle Brown Barnum, Martin Cooper, Fred Smith, Cliff Goldsmith)
Side B
4) Who Goes There?
5) Thunderbirds Are Go!
6) Twist and Shout (Phil Medley, Bert Berns)
I decided instead of writing new songs, I'd use one's that were complete fully, or at least partially.

I'm putting off my review of Minor Blemishes by the Unswept so I can get my Walk Among Us review done in time for Halloween in a couple days.
-
Since Songs About Cars and Girls evolved from an EP idea to what might become my first album, I'm still wanting to put out a few EPs as my first couple of releases. I've already got the first one outlined - The Rebelrousing Rock N' Roll Sounds of Renegade the Unicorn.

Gonna watch the Hazbin Hotel pilot tomorrow. If you know me, you know I love four things: trashy comedy, equally trashy horror, dark comedy, and Broadway-style musicals.

Yes, I have booped you!

Seriously, you absolutely need to watch it. It's even better than I expected personally, and @Alastor and @Princess of Hell have both very much enjoyed it as well. It's SO good.
I even got an avatar out of it.
