Might try another stab at a superhero RP, since my last one didn't seem to gauge any interest.
-
TMW you realize that, if the Apple family reunion is every 100 moons (thus we can assume it's 100 lunar months i.e. every 100 full moons) and if the Apple family reunion occurs in season 3...does that mean 8 years have passed between seasons 1-3?!
-
@Brony Number 42No, and even in our own world the term varies - but generally speaking, let's say "moon" is every 100 months (or one average lunar cycle). It'd still be every 8 years.

Yo, man.

@Renegade the Unicorn Hey there! How ya doin'?
-
@Samurai EquineGood.

@Renegade the Unicorn Glad to hear it, buddy. Sorry I haven't responded to all your status updates lately. I promise I've read them all, I just didn't have much to say.

I totally wanna do a fic that's basically an MLP version of The Young Ones + Bottom.

Lo and behold, I have done it! My Warhammer 40k RP is up!

I kinda wanna do a 1x1 Warhammer 40k RP.
Or maybe a 2x2 40k RP.
Don't worry, it wouldn't get into the really grimdark, M-rated stuff 40k is infamous for, obviously; it'd be similar tonewise to, say, Star Wars: The Clone Wars - definitely T-rated, and making no bones about just how brutal the galaxy of 40k is, with the religious fanaticism and xenophobia, how warfare and death are just a fact of life, and the terrifying eldritch horrors of Chaos.

tbh, I'm inclined to agree with Kurt Busiek on why trying to make superheroes "realistic" is a futile pipe dream: superheroes are an innately fantastical concept, and trying to make them "realistic" is kind of, I dunno, missing the point.
...I hate 98% of superhero deconstructions, so I maaay be biased.
-
Honestly, I like the way Linkara defined his way of "deconstructing" the superhero. Quote him: "People can be and are kind. So why wouldn't someone with incredible abilities be kind too?"
That is, to say, the superhero is proof that Rousseau was right; that even in a cynical, jaded world, people with fantastic abilities would not be corrupted by their fantastic, godlike abilities.
-
Depends on what you mean by realistic. But props for quoting Linkara. Gotta have some sense in there.
And I don't mind deconstructions, as long as you actually have a reason for doing it, or as long as you actually achieve something by doing so. There's no point in having a deconstruction if you don't have a goal in mind. By that point, you've just torn something down for no reason.
But what do I know. I regularly watch and enjoy Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

Possible RP idea: focusing on a wrestling league in Equestria - not just the matches, but also the behind the scenes stuff, the personal demons the wrestlers have to struggle with, and the friendships made in spite of it all.
-
TBH, I like this version of Jumpin' Jack Flash more than the Stones original.
-
Appetite for Destruction is the best "sleaze" rock album. fight me.
-
Figured you'd like this.

... I don't actually like soda, and I prefer pie over cake.
Not a big frosting girl either unless it's prepared just right.
But this is funny otherwise.
The chocolate I like, though.

What a crazy thing to do, boiling Coca-Cola with other stuff? Is this an official thing from the Coca-Cola Company themselves?
Coca-Cola is already a mix of hidden things that have already been previously boiled. Mixing more things and boiling seems kinda odd to me, especially considering it has phosphoric acid in it (that's why it says not to use Diet Coke, because it can't use phosphoric acid and the sweeteners combination, which is also why it tastes differently). Very interesting 🤔
Thanks for this @Renegade the Unicorn

you know, even though I worship the Greek gods, I realize I still have no idea what I'm looking for in terms of practice, hence why I'm looking into Thelema
-
I enjoy me my Satanism cos I can be as hardcore or casual about it as I want~ magick and practice isn't a big part of my life at the moment but I do line up with the philosophy, and I know its always there if I wanna pick up my rituals again.
I'm also a Thelemite but not really a practicing one right now nyaha. Unless you're with the OTO it's hard to really do anything from what I've seen
