Rebel the Wolfgirl

If you recommend something to someone and they needlessly bash it in spite of how much you like it, up to and including saying how no one, including you, likes this "unironically", is that a personal attack?

Been asking myself this for a while, ever since I recommended one of my favorite albums to a friend (and I even told him upfront that not only was it a polarizing album and he may not like it, but also to take it in small doses).
