Amen! And not all dubs are bad; it's really a case-by-case scenario.
And Japanese voice actors are not the height of acting above all other kinds of actors. They recycle VA's in Japan just as much as we do in America.
And it's almost pointless to argue about what's lost in translation. Unless it's something monumental, there is ALWAYS something lost in any translation, and the only way to prevent this is to learn Japanese. (Plus, no one ever talks about what was gained in translation either...)

I've been reading a ton of manga forever and haven't watched anime in a long while. Have never once heard of "MANGA MASTER RACE!", won't ever be a part of it. Manga has a bigger place in my heart, but there are times when I actually prefer the changes the anime makes. I'm not one of those people who gets a rush of superiority based on my entertainment preferences. I prefer feeling better about myself when I actually do stuff.
