Venomous

I had to take my cat into the emergency veterinarian office tonight where he was diagnosed with a urethral obstruction. For those of you who may not know, that means the urethra is blocked with either urinary crystals or inflammation. While it is common in male cats, it is a life-threatening condition if not treated quickly. Unfortunately, we could not afford leaving him overnight at that clinic so instead, they flushed out his bladder, gave subcutaneous fluids, and sent us home with antispasmodic medication. First thing in the morning, we will take him to a low cost veterinary clinic for further care.
