Well, you didn't have to wake up to your brother rudely tossing your blankets against the wall.

That's nothing, I used to get woken up by my grand dad. He turned on the lights and yelled "time to get up!" and left. Now-a-days, I get to sleep for a few hours (ussually 5) Because my cat rampages through my room wanting to be let out. She's a monster!

On other sites I have unfriended people for such reasons. The problem was not so much that they made too many status updates, but more that their updates made my other friends' much less frequent updates get lost in a sea of updates.
