      I'd get a grass snake or some kind of green snake and call it Slytherin! =P

      Actually I would get a milksnake myself. They are generally an easy temperament and easy to care for. They don't have a tendency to bit like some snakes do, and some breeders have given them some cool color combos for their stripes. Though if you get a snake, make sure you never handle a furry rodent or animal before picking them up. I you do, wash your hands before picking them up. :)
