      He should feel embarrassed for this for two reasons. The fact he did it is one. The other is now he won't be eligible for the playoffs should the Mets qualify.

      I wasn't aware of the latter stipulation. I thought the suspension would only affect the next 80 games.

      The suspension is one. Playoff ineligibility is the other, thanks to Nelson Cruz playing Game 163 and Jhonny Peralta playing well in the playoffs after their suspensions expired.
