  1. I've got a lot to keep me occupied: - Work - Going out with friends - Learning the tenor saxophone - Practicing my bassoon - Keeping up with One Piece anime and manga (through FUNimation and VIZ Manga) - Watching Dragon Ball Z subbed (Yes, I still like DBZ. I don't know why!) - Playing Pokemon Black (I just beat the Elite 4 today, but it looks like there's still plenty to do!)
  2. There was this movie that came out a few years ago that had an angel come down and possess humans. I forget what it was called... But it was so ridiculous. I don't know if it was intentionally that way, or if it was actually taking itself seriously. Either way, my friends and I found it hilarious. It was really stupid, but I would say it was worth watching just for the fact that it was funny.
  3. Seems you missed post #8. Also my parents have two violins, but I've never really touched them.
  4. Awww... Poor Applejack. How could I forget? I fixed it! I just looked it up, I do like it. Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony! But spending $20 on toys... (not meaning to put down those who have, it's just for me that's not really feasible right now)
  5. That's it! Finally got the McDonalds ponies a few weeks ago. Beyond that I'll probably just want DVD's and possibly blind bag ponies, or if they come out with pony toys that really look like the ones from FiM I would want those. Edit: Took another picture so Applejack was included. lol
  6. Give some to my parents for getting me through community college and letting me live at home throughout those years. Get through the rest of college. Move to some state in the Northeast. Where there's respect for the career I want to enter into, where the climate is way nicer, and where it is less religious and less conservative. (I do not belong in my current state at all) Buy an English horn. I really think that is the only instrument I would buy, even with all of that money. I would probably want to travel to various European countries, as well. After that I'd settle down, and not spend the money so rapidly after that point so I could live comfortably.

    gaming E3 2012

I'm really only into Nintendo. I'm very excited for an HD console, but Nintendo won't have anything to show for it at this E3 that will interest me. SSB4 is still a long ways out and Skyward Sword was just released so a new SSB and Zelda are ruled out. And, of course, Nintendo is more interested in showing New Super Mario Bros. Mii than an brand new open world 3D Mario. So... Not really looking forward to the Wii U portion, aside from details of the system. The 3DS part is what I'm really waiting for. I don't expect any new titles to excite me. Although I suppose they could pull something like Golden Sun 4. What I'm excited for is details on Animal Crossing 3DS. I've been waiting forever for the game. Unfortunately, after taking so long to develop it, my expectations are rising way too high and I don't foresee the game actually being able to meet those expectations. We're talking about a series with City Folk, a port that managed to be worse than the game it was a port of. I think AC:3DS will be far better than CF, but whether or not it can be better than the original GCN version is still to be seen. Other than that I predict they will show New Super Mario Bros. 2, which I honestly couldn't care less about. I'm hoping they find the time to show Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion 2.
  8. This topic really needs to be kept alive. Classical music just doesn't get the appreciation it deserves these days. =( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkt8T38aaMw Much like Renaissance choral music, I think that style is very much an acquired taste. However, I've really come to appreciate it. Probably because it has so many woodwinds (particularly oboe and English horn). Menuet is my favorite of the movements. I have a recording of it (Menuet) played by London Symphony Orchestra and it is more beautiful than this performance IMO, but I still prefer this recording over the other ones that can be found on YouTube. For my second piece.. More oboe! Baroque oboe. <3
  9. I have quite a few instruments! Bassoon is my main instrument, though. I have now been playing it for five and a half years. Tenor Saxophone I want to be my secondary and marching, but I just got it a month ago and haven't had much time to play it. =( My Bassoon (for those interested - probably not many - it's a Fox Renard 222 with a D-Key): My Tenor Saxophone (It's a Yamaha TS-475): Now for the rest, and there's quite a few. I own every woodwind aside from an oboe and different versions of the basic woodwinds (like bass clarinet, piccolo, and baritone saxophone). Although the clarinet is the one I have a decent picture of. The other woodwind is flute, so only one is missing here. My Clarinet (it's Accent, and was basically cheap because it was the first woodwind I ever got and was trying it out): My trumpets (Top one is a Bach Stradivarius, bottom one is a beginner model Yamaha. I started on trumpet back in middle school): I also have (no decent pictures of any of these D: ) : A Flute A Yamaha Keyboard My parents own: An Alto Saxophone (it's old and broken, that's why I got my tenor instead) Two Violins Piano Acoustic Guitar So... we have quite a few instruments. Probably makes me look rich, but the truth is I was just indecisive in my high school years and was majorly spoiled (while everybody else was getting brand new cars and wrecking them, I was getting brand new instruments =P When you look at it that way, my family was better off. lol). It took me way too long to gravitate toward the bassoon and saxophone... But I'M the bassoon player around here! Lol. Just kidding. It's nice to know I'm not alone. =)
  10. You won't meet many, if any, atheists that think that there isn't any chance of there being a higher power. it's just that we believe that the chances are so insubstantial that we don't think much of it. To us, the claim of there being a higher power has no more merit than any other supernatural claim. There's just no reason to think that higher power actually exists.
  11. What? I can't even eat hamburger meat. It's just... Ew. I like grilled chicken, though, so the first looks much better to me. To be honest, I wouldn't even be able to get that burger anywhere near my mouth. It would make me gag.
  12. And that would be coming from one individual Atheist's screwed up mind, not scripture taken from a holy book claimed to be written by or directly inspired by an higher being.
  13. Well, I don't believe there is one that says to kill non-believers.
  14. So why is the bottom right okay with you? As the top right are not 'open to the possibility' of there being a God, the bottom right is not "open to the possibility" of there not being a God. The thing about Agnostic Atheism is that it's probably a bit different from how you're probably thinking. Agnostic Atheists are Agnostic toward an more general concept of a God. Like a Deistic God, we won't claim that doesn't exist with an absolute certainty. However, Agnostic Atheists tend to completely reject the existence of the Abrahamic God (Yahweh, God, Allah). Or at least that is my experience with those who call themselves 'Agnostic Atheists'.
  15. An Oboe or an English Horn (if I got either I would officially own one or more instruments from every woodwind instrument family - Gotta collect em' all! That's not the reason I want one though. lol) An new iPod Classic because mine's battery is messed up. (It's five years old, now) A new graphics card so I can play PC games without fear of frying my integrated one. Clothes! That's it for me now. Although, of course, I have many non-object wants. Like a girlfriend, health, etc.
  16. My bassoon and saxophone: The bassoon especially at this point. I got it it several years ago. I just got the tenor a month ago. The bassoon means a lot to me for who got it for me (my grandparents, one of which isn't around anymore ) and also how much it has effected me as a musician and also in life in general.
  17. I just want One Piece back on Toonami, and I'll be happy. (I do mean the FUNimation dub, of course)
  18. Well, honestly I think that the Twitter thing was more likely just for show. I don't think they would have even gotten to the point of teasing the return of Toonami to us unless they didn't already fully intend on returning it. I could be wrong, though
  19. Well, saying "I am a Christian, because my mom is one" comes off a bit more like they believe solely because their mom does, or even worse only because their mom wants them to be one. Either way that's not really believing. I didn't want to infer that from their post, though as it's like just worded a bit odd and they really do believe for themselves. It's just that I know when I was a Christian as a child the very root of my belief was believing because others did. Like literally I thought that they all had some definitive reason to belief, so I was just following along even though I had no proof or reason to believe for myself. I thought they had some knowledge I didn't.
  20. Such beautiful architecture! They don't make architecture like that anymore. =( Anyway what I find to be really beautiful are ice storms and snow storms. However, photography can not properly capture the beauty of them for me. So I don't have any pictures.
  21. I have a really bad sore throat. Not so much at this exact moment, but it's been off and on for the past few days. =( I'm just really glad the migraine part of it is over.
  22. I understand. The term has been twisted around and that's what it is oftentimes used to mean these days. However, the fact of the matter is that if it is a sexuality, meaning it is about sexual attraction.
