Haha, that's awesome. The main thing that kept me out of computer careers was all the maths. Not my cup of tea. Yea trades in general is usually a good idea, but I would never recommend the route I've gone. Not the best way to make sure you'll have a job. We'll just have to wait and see how things go with my practicum.

Well, I'm good at maths, I'm just Horrible with Area, Shapes, And Algebra, But other than that I'm actually really good at it, There's a Few points I'm not strong at that Might stop me But other than that, I think It's a good idea.

And I don't exactly know your Route but how you explain it makes it sound Horrible, and I hope things will Lighten up for you in the future :3

Well personally I always found area and shapes easy because there's drawings. But if you like math, programming might be for you. That's what I was told anyway.

Not so much horrible, just difficult. I don't have room to say all that I want to say here, so I will say this: Specialization is a double-edged sword. I don't recommend it unless you're certifiably insane like me. I hope things get better for me soon too
