  1. I had an experience on the official Death Battle wiki awhile back that was deeply disappointing. Despite attempting to engage in constructive conversation, I encountered individuals who were rude and disrespectful when interacting. What was even more concerning was that the staff themselves were participating in this behavior, and they were blatantly violating their own rules. The disregard for the site's own rules was very concerning. I witnessed several instances where rules were violated, yet no consequences were given. This is unacceptable and contradicts the very values the site claims to uphold. And I was the one who got punished, despite being polite and following all the rules. This was a clear violation of the site's own policies and demonstrates a lack of fairness and respect. I am deeply disappointed that a community that claims to value respectful and constructive dialogue would allow this type of behavior to go unchecked. Moving forward, it is my hope that the site administrators will take swift action to address these issues and ensure that all members are treated fairly and respectfully.

I was very respectful and was trying to have an engaging conversation. They violated their own rules (disrespect, harassment, false claims, etc.), while I was being respectful and speaking politely in the comments section, explaining why I disagreed with certain fights. They ganged up on me and were very rude to me, and the mods and admins were in on it. I am very disappointed in this community. We could've had a civil and constructive debate. Instead, they insulted me, and even told me to outright shut up. The problem was that I was disrespected and they violated their own site rules, and yet, me, who was trying to have a civil conversation within the rules, was penalized. The disrespect I'm referring to came from the ones that called me stupid and outright told me to shut up. Now THAT is disrespect.

Anyway, Breathing new life into this topic now. Hopefully we can get some nice peaceful conversations and VS debates going in here.

What year is it? Seriously, these are all late 00's-early 2010's cartoons that barely lasted a year. And Teen Titans Go I'm really sick of seeing always pop up as examples of why "cartoons are down the toilet", besides the fact that's it's not indicative of the state of the animation industry as people are still making their own shows their way, but it's lasted for almost 10 years so evidently people still like it. It's time to let it go

The question is WHY though? Why is it that shitty cartoons like that one last so many years but all the good ones barely last any time at all?

What's next? Are people gonna start saying Thundercats Roar is better than Thundercats 2011? I am so glad He-Man got a proper reboot eventually with Revelations and didn't suffer such an awful fate.

Ehhh.  One just needs to be willing to look around better for the good stuff.  Amphibia and The Owl House from earlier in the decade to last year being some examples.

    As for currently:

    - The Ghost and Molly McGee

    - Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

    - Hailey's On It

    - Strawberry Shortcake Berry in the Big City

    - My Adventures With Superman

    - Gremlins Secret of the Mogwai

    - Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake

    - Hilda

Just that looking at how the 80s (My decade so to speak) for example really had only a handful or two of gems or how the 70s really had very little in terms of quality, kind of hard to see what we had in 2020-2023 as the worst.

Perhaps in my case, my flexible tastes just work to my advantage.  I guess like with comics, I tend to see people just presuming that there is little to no good, cause they tend to stick within the most familiar types of shows.

I can't say anything about the other shows since I've not seen them, but I have to disagree about Adventure Time being an example of a good new generation cartoon. I thought it was pretty dumb.

Retreat to the old days with Batman:  The Animated Series.

@Sazama Ichida  Does that make CatDog a bad cartoon?

You mean the 90s Johny Quest series?

Just because I like true quality the most doesn't mean I don't like other cartoons. Heck, Spongebob is one of my all time favorites.

They don't make money on good cartoons, they make money selling toys. And they can more easily sell toys and merchandise for young children. Thus you have things like Bluey. It's not a bad show, it's just for young kids.

Teenagers and adults who like good shows don't spend money on lots of toys. You might want to buy a few action figures, but that's nothing compared to moms who buy truck loads of diapers, bed sheets, or chicken nuggets shaped like whatever for their toddlers.

But there are more old cartoons than I can watch. So I'm satisfied with what I have.

I thought it was because kids like silly and stupid cartoons better than dark, gritty, serious, and edgy ones. This is true, but stuff like this is the reason why our generations keep getting dumber instead of smarter. Children would rather eat candy than vegetables too. But that doesn't mean it's good for them to do that instead. That's what this is like.

And well, that's not entirely true. There have been good shows that helped companies make money. I imagine Hasbro and Mattel made plenty of money off of My Little Pony and He-Man and The Masters of The Universe respectively. Companies made toys of the characters in the other shows I mentioned too. DragonBall Z and so on had plenty of action figures back in the day too.

  5. Why are cartoons only getting worse instead of better? Not to mention some cartoons started out great but have completely diminished over time and been downgraded and ruined by crappy reboots like The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans and Ben 10 etc. What happened to all the good cartoons like Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Batman The Animated series, Superman The Animated series, Justice League Unlimited, Static Shock, and Jackie Chan Adventures etc? And other cartoons in general that seem to be compelling and have a solid plot and motivating story? Most cartoons these days seem to just be there to rot people's brains and turn kids into idiots. They have nothing to offer but stupidity, randomness, and toilet humor. Examples: Breadwinners, Pickle and Peanut, Sanjay and Craig, Fanboy & Chum Chum, and Teen Titans Go etc. Needless to say, these shows don't live up to such a great legacy.  Sure the 1990's and early 2000's had some bad brainrotting cartoons too. But back then most cartoons were awesome and it wasn't near as hard to sort out the gems from the excrement. Mostly we had awesome stuff like the aforementioned shows. And we didn't have many shitty cartoons except for stuff like 2 Stupid Dogs and Mega Babies etc.

Firstly, she's an Alicorn Princess, Starlight's not.

And that is significant how? Twilight is too. But Starlight's magic was still stronger than hers.

She'll always have a naturally higher magical output.

Then how come Starlight was shown to be more powerful than Alicorn Twilight?

I'll refer to my military analogy from before.

Second, I'm going to take two excerpts from Silver Quill's video, After the Fact: Two Worlds, regarding an alternate timeline from The Cutie Re-Mark.

Nightmare Moon has been shown to be more than capable of taking out any and all opposition, and the only difference between her and Luna is personality.

Between herself and Starlight, Luna is the more powerful of the two. Victory however, will be achieved by whomever is most determined, and whomever implements their abilities more effectively.

Nightmare Moon is obviously more powerful yes. But that's not what this topic is about. The topic is Luna VS Starlight, not Nightmare Moon VS Starlight. Unless this is an actual form Luna can access on her own, it shouldn't be allowed or count towards this fight. And no that's wrong. Nightmare Moon is obviously more powerful than normal Princess Luna. She has the feat of actually wounding Celestia in combat.

Luna would win. She would use dream magic to confuse and upset Starlight into a breaking point. Starlight had had more inner issues than Luna in the actual show, so I cannot see Starlight defeat Luna. Also, both has an evil self, but they are shallow in comparison to the battles they are fighting as their good selves.

Luna has never shown to be able to do this in the show. Starlight would have to be asleep first.

  7. Rainbow Dash. She's the most unlikable female character that I've ever seen and I hate her guts. She's just as bad as Angelica Pickles. And that's putting it mildly. From my point of view she's as bad as Eric Cartman actually. But at least Cartman is funny despite being evil. I can totally see her doing all the evil and mean shit Cartman has done. Not even exaggerating here.

I'm so glad we've got Zipp as her replacement now.

Other characters I dislike are Babs Seed and Gilda off the top of my head.

  8. This movie raises a lot of questions. Like, how did the ponies get to fear each other in the first place? How is the sun and moon moving on their own now if there's no magic? What happened to Discord and all the alicorns? Twilight, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Flurry Heart? And are all the other races still a thing? Dragons, Minotaurs, Yaks, Changelings, and Hipogriffs etc.?
