    I ordered a double burger at McDonald's. I took the food home. When I got home I found there was only 1 patty. It was late, I was hungry, and I didn't want to drive all the way back. I ate it but left one bite as evidence. The next morning I went back. They gave me a free sandwich. I showed my receipt but they didn't need to see the lefover bite.

      Yeah, the receipt and your word should be sufficient. Next time, call the manager right away and they'll make a note for whenever you make it back that way. McDonald's is good about incorrect orders.
