  1. Fixed some lights at work. Feels good to fix things when I'm not rushed.
  2. Hungry. Trying to decide what to eat on my day off tomorrow.
  3. @Jeric are we supposed to send them to @Zecora?
  4. Stray on PS5. I did the speed run to get the trophy.
  5. I have to work Halloween night, but read the story I wrote for the writing contest.

  6. I'm in the middle of They Shall Not Grow Old, the World War I documentary by Peter Jackson. He colorized the real footage, added sound effects, and had lip readers add diog. It is narrated by WWI veterans, with interviews done in the 1960s-1970s.
  7. I would read the books and get the homework done as soon as possible. But I lost interest in anything academic when I was in grad schook. Now I don't care about much.
  8. I had to make one today because I won't have free time before the deadline. And it looks awful. That's the best I can do. But whatever, just having fun.
  9. If it weren't for the pay, hours, and working conditions I would do that job.
  10. I think those are good points. I don't like the idea that ponies have to be good or else magic fails. Also I don't like magic being the motive for ponies to stay nice. "If it weren't for the fact I like magic, then I would be bad." Make magic a natural force, not derived from friendship. That is so vague. What constitutes being nice? It gives a Big Brother is watching feel. You better be nice or else magic fails. You can exploit this fact. Somepony could invent a magic meter. It measures the strength of magic. You can then use it to test for "badness" in a pony. If a pony is accused of a crime, just ask him some questions. If he lies then that is bad, while weakens magic, which the meter can measure. I can imagine a dystopic 1984 work based on this idea.
  11. What happened to the writing contest?

  12. I'm trying to not think about the overtime I am turning down.
  13. Maybe I could get you a job as an apprentice electrician and you can help kill the piggies.
  14. But the reality is time is money. If they take 6 more months to make a game, how much more money is that, and how much does that add to the cost? Is a $60 game now $60.50 or $70? There are busness people and investors that care abou the money. Money is very important. As Quark pointed out in DS9, if people weren't greedy then they wouldn't do anything. Right now, as I type this, I am working overtime. I told my boss I would work half a shift extra, not 2 full shifts. I'm turning down a lot of money but I would rather have my time. I am able to do that because there is a shortage for licensed electricians. 99% of people work because they want nice things, not because they enjoy it. I don't enjoy working all night in a slaughterhouse or power plant or oil field (all jobs I have done). But if you like meat, electricity, and oil then you need to set deadlines and pay people to do stuff they hate. The argument about work vs leisure goes back ever since Pharaoh had a labor dispute with Moses. I don't think we will ever get to a Star Trek situation. Even in ST someone has to clean the holodeck filters. Have you seen Lower Decks? It's funny.

  16. Own more dvds than I can possibly watch. Borrows dvds from the library.

  17. I went to 2 haunted houses this month. I don't think I will have time for another. I wrote a story for the contest. I don't know where to submit it, but I have it on my blog.
