  6. "'Apologies mean nothing, actions are everything,'" quoted Adar, smiling slightly as her brother accepted the letter. "Our father, he used to say it to us."Nos, done with the letter, passed it to his sister. She went through a strange routine; ahe crinkled the paper and listened to that noise, traced her paw over the letters, smelled it, and even licked a corner of it. Finally finished and seemingly satisfied, she smiled at Lance. "Sit down, dear Lance," she proclaimed. "This one is Adar, head medic of this team, and this other, he is Nos, ex-chief of weapons and hand-to-hand combat." (OoC: For time and story purposes, I'm going to pretend everyone showed their letters.)
  7. Just as a note; the Princesses and Sombra won't be in the story at all besides mentions. If the time calls for it, I will roleplay as them. Due to this fact, try to keep personal affiliations with them to a minimum. The reason is just that I won't be able to RP as though I know you. The sisters are "evil" in this story, mind...think Maergary Tyrell.
  8. Adar looked up, a brief shadow flickering across her face. "Speak not so lightly of these matters," she cautioned. "For the floors have ears. Or is it the ceilings?" "Walls." "Walls! Yes. They have ears. Odd, considering they are not seen," Adar continued. "But this the point is not." Nos leaned over and whispered sonething in her ear, and she widened her eyes and nodded. "Yes, yes, a wise choice, indeed," she murmured, and then looked back at the others. "A letter, you brung it? For who are we to know who you are without it?" She opened her paws. "All of you, please, give it to this one."
  9. Dratini. Dunno why, I just thought of that when I saw your name.
  10. I'd join, but I like the name Lara Croft and my avatar too much. XD
  11. Gently Gently In My Pants. Lost Kitten In My Pants.
  12. "Do I sense, as you say, mockery in the dog's tone?" laughed Adar. "For as I say, my English is failing to be strong. See, this one is also from a forest, but one that is much odder than this one you call Everfree." Nos took a sip of water. He desperately wanted something stronger, but he needed all his wits about him. Adar smiled at her silent brother, and placed a paw over his shoulder. "Dear brother, silent you remain..." Nos looked up out his good eye and muttered "hello" to everyone. For now, it was best not to give much away. "My brother is, you say, shy," teased Adar gently, and Nos looked at them all with a little bit of an angry stare, as if to prove he was anything but.
  13. People tell me I look like the type who wouldn't be an engineer, which is what I'm aiming for. Somehow, being a girl that wears makeup automatically constitutes me as some stereotypical, brain-dead cheerleader. Wait, we don't have cheerleaders in my town. But you know what I mean. The stereotype is still there. They also say I don't look like I'd play video games or listen to the music I listen to (namely, indie rock and metal.) ;_;
  14. Wow, so many of you are pretty! Were I to enter, I'd get blown away in a second. I like the idea of categories, but there may not be enough participants. :x EDIT: Haha, ninja'd. Okay, Spark, sounds good.
  15. @ Adar glanced up sharply at the new arrival, the relaxed. "Hello there," she said in her same, soft hoarse voice. "This one believe we've been expecting you? If this is the truth then yes, you interrupt nothing." @ After "looking" at the new arrival, she responded to Hypno. "Ah, yes, well, perhaps we ought to tell each other a little about, how do you say, we?" "Ourselves," corrected Nos, and the other griffon threw her paws in the air. "But alas, yes, that is what I mean to say!"
  16. @ "Hypno. An name for a pony of exotic locale," said Adar with a small smile that ended up looking rather creepy on her disfigured face. "As for me, this one is called Adar. And he, the one that is my brother, he is Nos." Nos lifted his paw almost boredly, but the rest of his body was tense. He was sitting close to Adar, ready to grab her and run were anything to happen. "We have others who still have yet to get to this place," continued Adar in her stunted English. "But for now we will, how do you northern creatures say it, break of the ice?" "Break the ice," corrected Nos, spoke the language much better than his sister. "Ah, yes, that is what this one meant," agreed Adar. She gave a small shrug. "What can I say? I am no good at this language you speak." In all honesty, Adar was rather good at English, but she felt it was best to currently hide a little of their identity. @ (OoC: Please check the rule s in the PM again. Interact with others in your group only right now. That includes Addem [who posted incorrectly as well, but you can still interact with], and Civil Sunset. )
  17. @ Nos dipped his head warily as way of greeting, and Adar extended her paw to Hypno, her eyes clear and nearly completely white. "I see that you have both decided to come," she nearly whispered as way of greeting. "This location may seem illogical, but trust me, all will be clear in time." She then placed her other paw on Nos' shoulder. "Anyways, we always have this one to back us up, no? I'm sure he will prove to be a, how do you say...valuable fighter?" Her accent was rather heavy and her voice lilted at the end as she struggled over the word. However, she looked over at Rufus. "As is he, perhaps. It seems he is of great girth and power. Diamond dogs are useful in that regard, are they not?"
  18. @ Adar could feel two eyes resting on her, and she nudged her brother, who was looking around with a dangerous glint in his visible eye. "I think there are people looking at us." She sniffed the air slightly and wrinkled her beak. "Eurgh, diamond dog, I'd know that stench anywhere...and it seems like...pegasus? I'm no good with ponies." Nos glanced over quickly and saw the pegasus grinning at him rather eerily. He rolled his eye and nodded half to his sister, half to them, inviting them over to the table.
  19. ROLEPLAY IS LIVE! http://mlpforums.com/topic/57648-all-we-know-is-falling/ As I said in the PM, please start in the tavern, regardless of your team. If you are on the Alicorn side and are the first poster, then sit at another table and wait for the other Alicorn group members. I need everyone to make at least one post before we can leave the tavern to ensure that everyone has a chance to meet and everyone has a chance to introduce their characters. @@Addem Up, Addem, did you not even read what I said in the PM? I said don't interfere with the other group for now. There's only been two rules laid out and already you've failed to adhere to one of them. Please edit your post accordingly. :x
  20. Link to OOC: http://mlpforums.com/topic/57381-all-we-know-is-falling-ooc/ It’s my own design It’s my own remorse Help me to decide Help me make the most Of freedom and of pleasure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to rule the world. ~Tears for Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World~ BEFORE Two years before the beginning of the war. When the sisters came, no one was ready. The deep blue and creamy white creatures, an abomination of both unicorn and pegasus, were strangely magnet in their mannerisms. The aura of mystery and their foreign accents made others draw to them in both interest, fear, and respect, and the ruling king didn't like this. Sombra ruled from the far north in his crystal citadel, the Crystal Empire being the capitol of Equestria. However, recent attacks by the timber wolves had left much of the country in ruins. He had already been struggling to keep the land afloat, and many were dissenting about the current rule. However, these two were still relatively unknown, and Sombra still held an uneasy grasp on his beautifully carved throne. However, this wouldn't last for long. Peace was soon to be violated once again. Eight months before the beginning of the war. Sombra was in a panic at this point. The sisters, who had identified themselves as Luna and Celestia, were now commanding an almost cult-like following them. His subjects were infatuated with them, and he had forced as many as possible into the northern half of the land while the other deserted for the graceful creatures and warm lands of the south. While they had made no contact with him rather than a cordial letter inviting him to meet (which he dismissed as an attempt on his life), the unicorn ruler was terrified. This couldn't be happening; he had always been fair, he had never harmed his subjects intentionally; yet now they were ditching him for two idiotic self-proclaimed Princesses in the south. It had been too long. Something had to be done, One day before the beginning of the war. He was ready now. His forces were assembled, ready to crush the rebels who threatened their home. Sombra was in a frenzy of worry and fear now, but he knew that this was his only chance. It was finally time...time to take control of his homeland once more and to ensure the safety of his peoples. Failure would mean all was lost. PRESENT DAY Three months after the start of the war. "Are the stars out tonight?" Two griffons were traversing down the road of a very empty town. One was large and darkly coloured, barely visible in the weak moonlight, an empty socket gapin as the eyepatch he wore swung carelessly around his neck. He was covered in battle scars and had a hard, angry look, his bright gold eyes blazing. By comparison, the figure that he was pushing along in a creaky yet plush wheelbarrow couldn't be described as anything but ugly. Her eyes were milky, making her clearly blind, and her body was small and twisted like a gnarled tree. Her wings were stunted, as were her back legs, which were short and clearly not able to be walked on. The one in the wheelbarrow repeated her question. "Are the stars out tonight?" The other one made a gruff noise, but responded all the same. "We have bigger things to worry about than stars right now," he grumbled, but he didn't seem overly annoyed. The other griffon sighed and bowed her head. "I know we do," she said quietly. "But I just like to think about them." They were nearing a small tavern. The other griffon frowned slightly. "Face it. You won't ever see them," he said bluntly. "I know that, dear brother," she smiled. "But all the same, they sound beautiful, don't they?" The male shook his head and tapped her shoulder. "We're here." "Ah, excellent! Thank you Nos, but I believe I'll walk on my own now." She began to push herself out of the cart with her front legs, her back ones trailing behind her. The hit the ground and the larger of the two winced, but if she felt any pain she said nothing. Her brother attached a wheeled contraption to her back that allowed her to pull herself along on her front. "Don't do that again," chastised Nos grumpily. "I've told you already, Adar, you're just going to hurt yourself further." "Let's not think of that now. We have a meeting to host, and petty quibbling about my legs won't change anything. Now, I smell good wine, and I'd like to get a move on." With an unnerving sense of direction, she pushed herself towards the tavern, and her brother followed suit. When they entered, raucous noise and the smell of sour alcohol washed over them. Many stared at Adar, and she could almost feel their gazes prickling her as she confidently and (rather easily) navigated the dirty ground to a table in a quieter corner, her brother glaring at others, his eyepatch now up to cover the socket as he shoved them out of her way. They finally sat down and the others returned to their business as her brother twiddled his paws and looked about. 'So what now?" he growled to her. "This place isn't a good one to talk about our plans for Sombra's army." "Relax, my brother," said Adar with a sly smile. "For now, we wait."
