True, such apathy would certainly quell any motivation to excel in your courses. Either way, I stand by my opinion that you could really use a break, thought if classes begin tomorrow, it seems like it'd be too late to take this semester off...perhaps. At my college, we're given a couple of weeks to drop out of classes without having it count against us.

You have to apply for a free semester beforehand here. And even then, I have nothing I'd like to do more. Everyone's gone and my dreams and idealism have faded away. The latter also thanks to this study.

If your old dreams have faded away, then you owe it to yourself to either revive them or find new ones to chase. No one deserves to live a miserable half-life of settling for less; it is only though pursuing that which would make us truly happy in life that men can achieve any kind of self-actualization. I know that probably sounds naively idealistic, but if the only alternative is settling for a lifestyle that I hate, then I'd rather be an idealistic fool.
