I'm honestly not great at it either. More often than not, I have none to give at all...but you'll often find that the best thing you can do is just listen.

The problem is I know so much, yet have no experience and will never have in certain things... or at least none that'll make a good basis for advice.

I can sympathize with you both. I'm lousy at giving advice, but I'll always have a shoulder for someone to cry on...
