Pretty random but I just wanted to talk about this. I love this song but it drives me nuts that I think the lyrics are wrong all over the internet.

These are the lyrics you see everywhere:
[Intro: P. Dot w/ RZA laughing]
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay (Afro!)
    [Hook 2X: P. Dot (RZA)]
So many times I had sneak up on them quicker
With my finger on the trigger, like
Like I'm pulling out my sword
This is combat, man, this is war (Afro!)
    [RZA]
Brain stained with the harbor, sword stained with the blood of martyrs
Revenge is a never ending story, Afro's the author
Trying to bother, the bare site of my father
So I'm living today, like there's tomorrow
Sword inside my sheet, my heart is filled with beef
For all the dead souls, that I chopped into pieces
Return, of the Afro sheen, fatal mean guillotine
Sword in my hand, I want the number one headband
    This is what I hear:
[Intro: P. Dot w/ RZA laughing]
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay, ay
Ay, ay, ay, ay, ay (Afro!)
    [Hook 2X: P. Dot (RZA)]
So many times I had sneak up on them quicker
With my finger on the trigger, like
Like I'm pulling out my sword
This is combat, man, this is war (Afro!)
    [RZA]
Brain stained with the horrors, sword stained with the blood of martyrs
Revenge is a never ending story, Afro's the author
Trying to bother, the gravesite of my father
So I'm living today, like there's tomorrow
Sword is out my sheath, my heart is filled with grief
For all the dead souls, that I chopped into pieces
Return, of the Afro sheen, fatal mean guillotine
Sword in my hand, I want the number one headband

    what do you think?

    Pony Recipes
    Weeeellllll, you tried, sugarcube.

So I tried putting airheads on top of an apple pie to make it look like zap apple. I tried to microwave them briefly and then shape them into stripes and there's WAY too much candy and not enough fruit. One can of pie filling barely filled this crust.
If you want to try this flatten out the candies as much as you can and don't use a lot. They should just melt into somewhat neat stripes. And there's no yellow so I dYed the white mystery flavor. You should definitely use food coloring. I tried to use mio and it was really messy. The whole thing was messy, actually.

    sci-fi
Star Wars directed by Stanley Kubrik:
-Starts off with a half hour of Jawas playing with droid parts.
-Numerous shots of them walking around inside the Falcon.
-Chewie makes a twenty minute call to Lumpie. No subtitles.
-Ends with forty-five minutes of the remains of the Death Star floating in space.
-It's over four hours long because they actually have to cram a comprehensible story in among all the fancy shots.

    "Star Wars"
    This show is over.
This show bored the crap out of me.  I don't understand why people claim it's so great. It tries to be deep and gritty but it's just slow and boring.
This is clearly Disney desperately trying to appeal to non-Star Wars fans since they're rapidly losing real Star Wars fans.
I can probably count the number of aliens I saw on both hands. There was only one droid that I remember until the final scene.
People are constantly talking very softly to each other to show that they're being sneaky but it's hard to even hear what they're saying.

So why did I watch it, you ask? When Disney took over Star Wars and decanonized my beloved books I said I would have nothing to do with it. I knew their movie trilogy would be garbage(though I wasn't prepared for what a complete steaming pile of shit it would be) so I only watched them to tell people how bad they were.
But then I watched Rebels because somebody kept telling me how good it was. It was pretty good and it fits decently into the real pre-Disney canon. From there I just fell into the trap of watching stuff because other people were watching it and talking to me about it. Some of it's okay, most of it is just Disney throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. They mostly just get an actor people will recognize and build a show around them, usually depending on nostalgia.
Back in the days of the books they would come up with a STORY first. Then they would get authors to write it., There were some minor errors but they had people to keep things consistent. Now they just let tv people go wild and don't care as long as people stream the show(But I don't pay them. ).

    The Animation
I thought the animation and pony designs were great.
But I really thought the pony mecha Sprout built could have been more interesting. A giant steampunk pony robot, how cool could that have been?
One thing bugged me. That was that cutie marks were only on their right flank. Hopefully they fix that for the series

    Voice Acting
The voice acting was really good too.
I wonder if these celebrity voice actors will stick around for the show though.
I hope Alphabittle, voiced by Phil LaMarr, will be on the show some of the time. Some Samurai Jack references would be cool. "Got to get back. Back to the...tea shop."

    Songs
My favorite song was "Angry Mob". So many good jokes in there. It could be the theme song of the human species.
I also really liked "Gonna Be My Day".

    Random Stuff
In the map in Sunny's house we see that the Everfree Forest still exists.
Everything here is written in English rather than ponish. I remember on one of the commentaries they were saying they didn't use a real language so FIM would do better in other countries. I wonder why they changed that here.
For the first time we see how physically dangerous a unicorn horn can be. Izzy took down a huge tree in seconds! The only example I remember in FIM was that stallion popping balloons.
I liked all the winged animals. I'm sure it hasn't been long enough for new animals to evolve so they must have been made magically.
"Just try not to start a war while I'm gone." You had one job, Sprout!
The Canterlogic logo reminds me of the Momcorp logo:

I was interested in the technology all the ponies had.
Pegesi seemed to be at the same level we are now.
Earth ponies were maybe in the eighties. We saw bulky old tvs and no personal electronics but a pretty big industrial factory and street cars.
Unicorns seemed to be basically at the same weird in between level ponies were at in FIM. The main technology we saw was that wooden dancing game powered by running aardvark-mice since there was no magic to power it.

    Theories
Okay let's get the depressing part out of the way. I'm pretty sure everypony we knew(with the possible exception of Discord) is dead. Yes even the princesses.
Magic seems to have changed and evolved a lot. I doubt ponies control the sun and moon and weather anymore unless there's some secret cabal that could still use magic. In a lot of stories magic declines as technology increases. And of course the pony races being separated made most of the magic go away. But there was at least one piece of magic left. They all still had cutie marks. And there were at least two more hints of magic: Hitch with the animals and Izzy seeing the "sparkles".
I think Twilight had a lot to do with this story. Her cutie mark was on Argyle's notebook and I'm sure she created these crystals because she foresaw a time when ponies would break up. She probably created the lighthouse too to help disperse the magic. It probably took all three races working together like the hearthswarming magic. The first time they put together the crystals there was no pegasus there. Then they activated when the three older ponies helped put Sunny's picture together.
I wonder if other species will be involved in the show. Probably depends on how long it goes on. I'd guess ponies are again scared of them even more than of each other but another story arc about them becoming friends with other species would be pretty repetitive.

    Relations
There seems to be indications that some of these ponies are related to the ponies we know.
The most obvious one is Hitch having animals following him around like Fluttershy. With magic now maybe he'll be able to communicate with them. Fluttershy having kids with Discord is a whole thing to think about but anyway.
Izzy obviously seems a lot like Pinkie but there's also that thing where she talks about seeing ponies' "sparkle". Sounds something like Pinkie Sense to me.
Sunny lived in the lighthouse, her dad had a book with Twilight's cutie mark, the earth pony crystal was in their home the whole time, and she was the one who brought them all together.
The pegasis royals seem to have something of Rarity in them. That one's pretty tenuous, I guess.

    food
These are gross! I don't recommend them!  Well if you're like me you won't listen but don't say I didn't warn you.
I don't know what the flavor is. They're something savory mixed with the usual sweetness of pop-tarts. There's definitely cream cheese and some kind of spices. Though it's not hot at all maybe I'm tasting some jalapeno?
The best guess I've seen online based on one of the clues they give is everything bagel with cream cheese. I like everything bagels but this was disgusting.

Pretty much everything's been said about these episodes already...
One thing that really sticks out to me is all Twilight's annoying lecturing.
But despite the problems this episode is still epic and got a few tears with all the friendship stuff. And it had some great references.
The battle at the end where everycreature showed up was awesome. So much better and more believable than when The Fall of Skywalker ripped it off.
And yeah, donuts are the perfect way to celebrate the apocalypse.

So yeah, I just now figured out how to make a second blog. My MLP rewatch blog is almost finished. (Here come the water works. ) So maybe I'll talk about other things here. I don't know exactly what.

    Groom Q. Q. Martindale

So maybe J.K. Rowling really is a wizard?
A.K. just blew her secret identity to that fan.
    That diverse cat pack àgain

Why did Cabaleron put the necklace on when he knows it forces him to tell the truth?
Rainbow Dash needs the deluxe spa package.

It's weird that they do that whole interview format.
So was Big Mac supposed to eat all or most of those desserts before he got the message? That wouldn't be too good.
    Good advice for anyone.
Granny Smith dreamed Star Trek. "And Discord was there. He was pretty much the same."

This episode came too late. The CMC have traveled plenty and by themselves. "I thought trains just took you where you wanted to go."? Five year olds should know better.
Of course no mention of Sweetie Bell's parents. They seem to cease to exist when it's convenient.
But cute tornado puppy and Dorothy pony.

So generally a road trip is on a road and the story is about the trip. This trip was in the sky and the story started when they got there.
    Grading papers is not fun.
    Cute spider

    Terrorized face

This was a cool little special to show them all interacting with some new characters.
  13. Fluttershutter
I can see why people don't like this episode. Dash really seemd like kind of a jerk. I guess it was just that she likes buckball so much.
But she has done cheerleading before:

I got kind of annoyed with them saying "over and over and over again" over and over and over again.
Zecora wasn't very helpful with the rhyming, meaning her rhyming is just a natural thing zebras do.

It was great to see Rarity appreciating Spike. And going overboard as usual.
It's pretty silly that the fashion designer can't pick out colors and gems for herself.
    Mane-iac costume

This episode really acknowledges the predator/prey thing. All these animals would be killing each other irl.
Rabbits don't eat carrots in nature and according to what I've seen you're not supposed to feed them to pet rabbits much.
"I want to marry Discord." Everybody went crazy when they heard that line. Personally I thought it was just Angel being a smartass even though it turned out to be true.
