I say "Whatever doesn't kill me will kill me eventually." Entropy gets us all in the end.

Language is imprecise. You could just turn it around to be clear: "Hunters wear boots and orange vests." but yeah "Hunters wear orange vests and boots." is still unclear.

There was a joke about that in Deadpool 2.
Even the word WOman is an extension of man. I don't know the etymology of that, if man meant the species or the male first.
In languages that have gender, like Spanish, the masculine form is also the general form. While Japanese, which is considered pretty patriarchal society, is largely gender neutral. So language is a weird thing.

I just hate when people have to say "bless you". Just let a person sneeze in peace!

I'm sure I can think of a bunch.
Off the top of my head I hate when people call alzheimers "old timers".

Same reason so many superheroes can fly. Jut to save time. And so this doesn't happen:
I do have a theory about Elsa. She can modify the dress by suspending ice crystals in the cloth which change the shape and also refract light to change the color. At least in the first movie. In Frozen Fever she was modifying Anna's dress and making flowers float and such weird things.

Yeah, Mandalorian was pretty good.
What they're doing is just mining the older stuff. The Mandalorian was nostalgia for the original trilogy, Obi-Wan is nostalgia for the prequels, now Andor is nostalgia for Rogue One.
Maybe some day they'll be desperate enough to scrape the bottom of the barrel with nostalgia for the sequels.

Yeah, Dark Empire was much better. The main characters have spent their whole lives fixing stuff and putting out fires but they're still standing when the books run out.

Oh and what's your problem with G5?
I was skeptical but I've been very pleasantly surprised. I 'm praying they don't screw up the connection to G4.

You need the other kind of mermaid with the fish part on top and the lady part on the bottom:
Also, I've recently heard of this 1979 Little Mermaid. Haven't watched it yet but I'm looking forward to it. The animation looks really nice but I know the story is closer to the original fairy tale so it will be sad.
I'll include two versions because the Portuguese looks much better but I can understand the English. When I watch it I'm going to watch the good one and sync up the sound.

Uh...I haven't really heard the word much.
There's the capital of the Czech Republic spelled Prague and pronounced like Prog.
There's a genre of music called progressive rock, usually shortened to Prog.
And an internet search gives me this:
Quoteprognoun
- A pointed instrument for poking or prodding.
- A poke; a prod.
- Victuals got by begging; hence, victuals in general; food.
I don't know how you'd use it as a verb though.

Ugh, I hate everything about it! The sideways video, the spazzy scrolling, the way those short little videos loop. I'd ignore it entirely except youtubers I like have started making them.
I guess they're just trying to compete with tiktok but it's just so stupid!!!

(Don't be offended, just an observation)
You know what fucking grinds my gears?
When people self censor! The whole world is eager to censor your words and attempt to censor your thoughts. It's bullshit that all over the internet they're bleeping your fucking profanity. Ironically one of the few places you can express yourself fully is a My Little Pony board and people put fucking asterisks in their naughty words! That's bullshit!
And on topic yo ho ho, a pirate's life for me!!!

Watch The Orville!
It's the true heir to Star Trek and it's fantastic this year.

Sorry. I heard it would suck so no surprise.
I've never played the game but I've read a couple of books and it seems like an interesting universe.

I think it's meant to "cut through the treacle" and add some levity to a sad scene but yeah, they should sometimes just go for the emotion and let it be.

You just reminded me of something a friend of mine said. He had the perfect analogy for this stuff that I've ever heard. He called it the "bad taxidermy" analogy. So, with regards to when a company resurrects a classic, beloved franchise and butchers the hell out of it, my friend said that would be like if an artificial intelligence reanimated your beloved deceased pet into some kind of uncanny, soulless, robotic husk, and was then surprised when you were upset and asked, in it's own genuine, innocent way, "I don't understand. You loved this thing and I brought it back for you. Why aren't you happy?" Wonderful illustration.
At least the AI had good intentions. Reboots are just the quick, lazy way to make a buck.

Oh god yes. The death of creativity. They just watch tv and imitate it these days.

It's a mess because different countries air them at different times whenever they finish the dubbing. Just look on free sites where the order is done better.
I thought the season finale was really good.

Yeah, the Superman thing was especially ridiculous. Okay, he has some abilities humans don't. That's a lot different from breaking all the known laws of physics.

What's an example of what you mean? What about something like Harry Potter where there's magic in the real world but it's secret?

@Fluttershutter That part is missing in the video you posted. You can see it here:
I don't think it's a sun reflection, because it moves, and she doesn't move her horn. Maybe it's just a way to turn the viewer's attention to the horn, but my theory is that it's a spark of magic, and I'm sticking to it.
Oh yeah. Interesting.-

They don't bother me. I guess I'd agree with these super short series that are tightly focused on a story arc but I've never seen it in one of those. More episodic shows like Simpsons and Family Guy have more time to fill so they do stuff like that. Simpsons Halloween episodes are my favorite! Oh, and I hate when anime has boring, irrelevant filler arcs. Bleach was notorious for that.
