Mostly just drawing ponies right now, which, well, aren't that hard. But I've always been a rough sketcher so their smoothness can be a bit challenging for me. Especially dem eyes and snouts.

Could it be that you have this 'lazy streak' due to not being motivated to draw which stems from not being satisfied with your drawings?

I have a lazy streak in everything I do, really. And I am never satisfied with anything I do, not just drawing. However, if I was not motivated or inspired, I would not be attempting in the first place.
