  1. @Goat-kun In regards to the related ocs, I honestly have no idea. Nanami knows my hero oc, but he’s already been established in the parent rp thread. At worst, I’d assume the others are NPCs that can be used at the creators discretion. Either that, or they’re just being created for world building purposes.
  2. Nanami could honestly feel a headache starting to form as she listened to the broadcast of the press conference from the room she had been brought to upon arrival to R. corp, though some could also be attributed to some of the people in the room itself. She had honestly wanted to avoid the spotlight entirely when she had escaped from the man who had donated thirteen chromosomes to the moment of her conception, but it seemed like such a thing was not meant to last. All things considered, she could probably have whatever poor sap was directly under her do most of the work while she carried out her own business that she had put in motion, but that could be sorted out later. It wasn’t like they needed her so high within the company anyway when they owned the bloody thing, though seeing the last owner squirm when his charisma based quirk failed to get him out of a hostile takeover was certainly something she delighted in. The fact that she had been mentioned by name would also cause problems if anyone she had known prior to fleeing her family’s compound saw the coverage on the vampire’s speech. If it wasn’t the renewed vigor in regards to marriage offers for her, it was past relationships she had left behind coming back into her life, however fake they might have been. She had only one friend that she truly cared for prior to her escape, an orphan that was in the possession of a reptile based quirk, though the relationship wouldn’t last as the only way she could protect him from any who might wish to retrieve her was to cut off any and all form of communication between them. Her absence had probably hurt him more than he would care to admit, but the best she could do now was making it up to him in some way. He would most certainly be upset, not that he didn’t have a right to be, and voices would be raised. As for what would happen afterwards, that was not something easily predicted. Honestly, it was probably better this way than staying hidden. The teen was brought out of her thoughts when Beelzebub and Krizalid entered the room. She had met the latter prior to first coming to this meeting, him having found her through methods she tried to not think about, and found her offer to be something she could support. As for the villain, she would have to see how things developed before an opinion could be formed on him. “Aside from the fact that my last name is pronounced Hamada, I’d say that went pretty well.
  3. @Canteen_the_unstable Yeah, Nanami is the one that’s seventeen.
  4. @Renegade the Unicorn Best options would be to either work on his speed to the point where time slows down for him or to extend the time he spends with his quirk active. Having it off the once a day use would also be good.
  5. Sounds good to me. Can’t wait to see how that plays out in the rp.
  6. I was more referring our group of villians, but that works too. Granted, I doubt they would talk about work while in a public location.
  7. That could work. The shop could potentially have a side entrance and private rooms for such meetings, and the fact that "heroes" are visiting this one store would certainly help bring in customers. Assuming the fact that she's working with them isn't discovered, she could even have plausible deniability due to owning the shop in general. After all, heroes are basically celebrities, as sad as that is, so denying them service would look bad on her.
  8. Yeah, there is a limit to how much silk she can make and how much it can heal. Long story short, no one had better lose any limbs. As for the coffee shop, it could certainly act as a home away from home when the main residence isn't an option, at least for the other members of the group.
  9. @TBD Honestly, I can kind of see Nanami just being the medic for literally everyone on the villain side of things, what with her silk having healing properties and all. She might run like a small coffee shop or something, but it sure as heck won’t be anything as grandiose as her father’s company.
  10. Yeah, it’d be a nice running gag if anything. Granted, there is that whole mess about not using a quirk in public in the BNHA world, but I’m sure no one will notice.
  11. Now that I think about it, I’m honestly tempted to have my characters hold every conversation they have via telepathic link just because the possibility is there.
  12. Yeah, that sounds good to me. Granted, Nanami’s age might raise some red flags for any reporter to dig into, so she might not be at the initial press conference.
  13. Aside from clawing at solid granite for hours on end and weight training for a marginally faster takeoff, I suppose it would make sense for Ryu to try and unlock one of the two abilities I have planned for him. All things considered, it probably won't be until he's put in a high stress, potentially fatal situation that either actually manifest, and I doubt a teacher would intentionally put him through such a thing.
  14. Yeah, that's pretty close to what Nanami might be doing, at least in regards to recruitment and possibly some other jobs as well. If she does meet up with 1C, I can only imagine the awkward moment that'll happen when she and Ryu first see each other after... I'd say around two to three years of silence.
  15. Sounds good to me. Can’t wait to see how it plays out in the rp.
  16. (Huh, didn’t realize that. I could certainly control some beings in groups you control overall as well, if you want.) Rorik gave a light nod in response to Midnight’s words.Such a strategy had been his modus operandi for some time, if only to ensure that things didn’t escalate too drastically between the two opposing groups. As for Gale’s placement in all of this, he did understand his concerns, and while he was concerned as to how the slavers might react to the presence of a dragon, it would probably be less of a risk for her to be outside where she’d have more room, to move. “I suppose you would know her abilities better than I.” Honestly, it would have been preferable to mix some ponies into the group going in, if only to make it seem more believable, though he suppose they could be snuck in if anything. Gale had honestly stayed closer to the edge of the camp as she watched ponies mingle with each other, not really sure on where to place herself. All things considered, she wasn’t exactly inconspicuous, and such was most likely why the zebra had took note of her. Once she had motioned for Gale to move towards them, the dragoness figured that it would’ve been rude to not oblige them. Slowly, if only to not draw too much attention to herself, Gale approached the zebra and went for the first thing that came to mind. “Thanks for that. I’m not really used to being around large groups.”
  17. (Probably should have mentioned this earlier, but feel free to have one of the ponies in Rorik’s group interact with Gale. It wouldn’t be fair if I had control of all of them.) Rorik narrowed his eyes in thought, though he did have to admit that it was indeed a good plan, even if there were a few kinks that needed to be worked out. “Assuming they haven’t made any additional tunnels to the cave network, there should only be one, maybe two entrances that we can expect them to use, though both are on this side of the mountain. As for those within the caves, it fluctuates at times, though I’d say the average is around four slaves per one overseer.“ Now came the more difficult aspect in the plan itself. “While we do have a few zebras volunteer after their free, most tend to want to head back to their homeland, not that I blame them for such a sentiment. If it were possible, a few of the unicorns here might be able to escort them in with a few small weapons, if only to add their own magic into the mix as well, but they might need something a bit more substantial than that if something goes wrong on their side. Do you think your friend might be able to be placed within the caves, along with my own?” If she were here, he’d honestly ask her himself, but he’d have to go for the next best thing at this point. Of course, their initial encounter made him wary of asking such a thing, if only for fear of upsetting either unintentionally.
  18. Yeah, she could probably be a more public figure at least, and given her age, it would make it easier for her to interact with students in 1C if the two threads do link up. Of course, there are probably going to be more... questionable activities that she might partake in as well, though such things can be explored after the rp starts.
  19. @TBD Yeah, my villian came from a wealthy family that basically used her for her quirk to essentially make their wealth. She may or may not have taken a few hundred thousand in USD before she left her family's compound, so that might help fund whatever exploits our group plans out. She could also work on any operations that neither Kriz nor Beelzebub can accomplish. Name: Nanami Harada Gender: Female Villain name: Mosura Age: 17 Likes: Sweet food and Walks through nature Quirk: Moth Form is a mutant type quirk that honestly appeared as an emitter type involving the ability to shot out a silk like webbing out of her hands when she was around four years old. It also led to an increase in her appetite and overall size in terms of width, but that would be fixed later on. While she did experience some bullying as a result of her quirk and overall appearance at the time, the webbing itself was found to have healing properties and incredible durability. Of course, her family took advantage of this by selling it to both hero and villain alike with very little regard to her own desires, further dampening her view on the world around her. It wasn’t discovered that her quirk was a mutation until after she had pupated over the course of a few days when she was around thirteen years of age, give or take a year or two. Whether she was aware of such a thing occurring or not was rather unclear, at least until she had exited the cocoon and was informed of such an event. Either way, saying that puberty hit her like a truck would’ve been an understatement. Her body had lost almost all excess fat, while also adding some to certain areas, her height had increased by a few inches, and a few new additions had been placed on her body, specifically a pair of antennae with offshoots of fine hair that form a comb like structure and a set of moth wings (reference included) that are capable of folding against her back. Along with the retention of her production of silk, much to her parent’s delight, and the evident capability of flight, the transformation also gave her a few new abilities, though a bit of experimentation was required. The antennae on her head serve to enhance her senses and can be used for short range telepathic communication. Along with bioluminescence, her wings can also shed scales that can incapacitate an opponent if inhaled. Weaknesses: If she overuses the scales on her wings, her flight will be negatively impacted, and any damage to her antennae can lead to disorientation. She also has to be careful around open flames, lest her wings burn. Appearance: In terms of everyday attire, Nanami tends to prefer wearing simple dresses under a denim jacket. Heeled boots also cover her feet, while also making her seem taller than she actually is. As for her villain outfit, she wears a plain black, skin tight, fur lined, leotard and a white mask that conceals most of her distinctive features. Her feet and legs are protected by heeled boots and black thigh high stockings. Bronze, scaled wrist guards also add some protection to her arms, and her wings can double as a cloak to hide any weapons she might have on her prior to a fight. Of course, this is certainly free to change, as having multiple outfits might allow her greater range in regards to operations. Aside from the wings and antennae, which are normally used to accentuate her attire or under her hair respectively, Nanami stands at a height of around five feet eight inches and has a rather lithe frame, tending to prefer agility over brute force. She also has a somewhat pale complexion and deep blue eyes. Overall, her hair color is a caramel blonde that is kept at a medium length, falling just an inch or two just below her shoulders, with light orange bangs. Personality: While she does have a caring demeanor, Nanami tends to keep those she doesn't take any immediate interest in at a safe distance, though most just assume that this is due to her shy nature. She also has a rather keen eye for detail and enjoys observing the quirks others might possess, especially those that produce light for some reason. She is also rather subtle in her motivations and actions, and tends to enjoy messing with the heads of others, both literally and figuratively. In regards to people she takes an interest in, she can be rather possessive when it comes to such individuals. Background: As mentioned previously, Nanami came from a rather well off family that only got richer through the exploitation of her quirk. While it felt nice at first, any attempt to talk with her parents about stopping such a practice were quickly shut down and/or punished. It only got worse if she refused to produce her silk outright, and the fact that her father had so called heroes under his employ didn't exactly help her chances of any one finding out about the mess that was her life. Demand for the products being sold utilizing the silk made with her quirk only seemed to increase when the girl had pupated, though she could at least escape for a few hours, if only to continue her education at a local public school in the same grade as a boy with a reptile based quirk. He said it was based off a dragon, but she couldn't be quite sure of such a thing. Either way, he was the only light within the darkness she had lived in. It wasn't until her father had tried to arrange a quirk marriage with another such business owner that she began to plan her escape. Experimenting with her quirk gave her a few new insights as to what her abilities were, specifically telepathy, and the fact that she was trying to escape her own home gave her an idea as to what she might expect in the manner of resistance. Granted, it wasn't exactly hard when she could render someone unconscious with a thought or a flap of her wings. Of course, she couldn't just leave without taking some form of insurance against any attempt to retrieve her by her parents. Along with a large sum of money that she believed to be around three fourths of what had been made since her quirk had activated, Nanami also obtained information on every under the counter deal her father had made with a villain. After her escape, it didn't take long for her to set up her new life, even if some shortcuts had to be taken. Not wanting anyone to suffer in the way she had, Nanami began to make plans on how she might change the world for the better, even if others might call her a villain for even thinking of such a thing. Of course, finding a group of like minded individuals helped in some ways, and the fact that she now had a job meant a steady stream of income. Now, all she has to do is wait and see how the dice may land. Extra details: She is handy with both rapiers and daggers, and can dual wield both. Power: 3/5 Speed: 5/5 Technique: 4.5/5 Intelligence: 4/5 Cooperative: 4/5
  20. Rorik thought for a moment before pointing to a few marked areas that seemed to be around the base of the mountain, give or take a few meters to accommodate for hills and other such terrain. “The slavers seem to be using the cave systems for easy storage before their captives are moved to their next destination. After that, they’ll most likely be sold or moved again until death or a master takes them.” It honestly made the earth pony sick that such was the case, though perhaps these sorts of things would diminish in time. “We’ve done a few raids on them already, though we rely more on stealth and small groups rather than brute force. Tends to catch them off guard when new blood joins in on the action, however rare that might be.” While the two conversed over what was to be done about the slavers, Gale began to look around the camp, figuring that it might be nice to at least know her way around. That, and conversing with the other ponies within the camp would certainly help her get a sense of what they were like. The dragoness was a still bit hesitant to trust them after their initial reaction to her and Midnight, though that could be forgiven in time.
  21. I think we’re just waiting on @Bakugou Is My Man ❤
  22. Ryu had finished his meal when the class’s teacher entered the room via her quirk and shifted his wings slightly if only to stop the mist from entering his body. While the majority of the information provided didn’t exactly mean anything to him, that didn’t mean that the boy wouldn’t listen. As for the advice that she provided on him specifically, he began to think about what had been said. Honestly, his quirk was one that obeyed the laws of physics to the letter when compared to the others, so there was little he could do to get his takeoff to such an absurd level without a source of thrust. At the very least, he might be able to shorten it by some degree if he could strengthen the muscles in his wings and legs. For now, he would just ignore the examples in favor for the idea overall, if only because stopping someone abruptly mid-fall would most likely have the same effect on their body as hitting the ground if they were going fast enough. Looking between the top of the cloak his wings had formed and his body, Ryu glanced at his claws and clenched them into a loose fist. He could potentially hone their edge, along with those found on his feet as well, a bit easier than dealing with his flight, so that was something. As for being more social, that was an entirely different beast all together. It wasn’t that he didn’t like his classmates, but there was more to such behavior than just personality alone. Either way, the only thing he could logically do was nod. ”Thank you for the help, sensei.” As for the assistance Tharas requested, he would try to get back to him on that later. At the very least, the differences in their quirk might create differences in the routine each might benefit the most from. For the time being, the best he could give the precog user would be to simply use his quirk until he felt like collapsing in a heap on the floor and taking a break to let his body recover, if only slightly. Of course, he would have to repeat the process several times, pushing his body further than before, but no one ever said building endurance was quick and painless. Granted, that also didn’t mean you should break your body to such a degree that it was unusable. “I suppose I should be getting some sleep as well. I’m certainly looking forward to what might come this year.” After disposing of the soiled bowl and chopsticks, Ryu went to his room in order to prepare for the next day and get his belongings unpacked. Aside from what was already in the room prior to his arrival, a few books that he had acquired prior to his application to UA were set on a shelf located under the television. There was a notable variety in the topics covered, specifically philosophy, history, and legends of old, though there were a few books on magic as well. He had never been interested in stories pertaining to modern heroes, let alone any other form of their absurd merchandise, no matter the number of attempts made by others. As for food, a bowl of fruit could also be seen on the nearby coffee table, and the mini-fridge was fully stocked with drinks and snacks. Atop that was a bowl containing a few dozen protein bars and packets of tea, though there wasn’t much variety in the way of flavor. Clothes could also be found either hung within the closet or in the provided dresser, and toiletries could be seen in his bathroom. It had been a pain to get all of this here, but he was certainly thankful for the idea of working part time alonside school for the last few years. He might have been an orphan, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t have a couple thousand yen in the bank. (Note:The minimum wage in Japan is set at 874 yen per hour and ¥1 is equal to .0093 USD. This is assuming that the currency used in the BNHA universe is the same as ours.) In regards to his sleep schedule for that night, it was pretty much the norm for him. After taking a warm shower, Ryu went to bed at around ten thirty. He then proceeded to sleep for the next four hours before waking up in a cold sweat with his body aching. The amount was always the same no matter the time and trying to get more was not an option. A shower helped soothe his muscles, and a cup or three of tea would help keep him awake. Once that was taken care of, the hybrid practiced tai chi katas for the next half hour. He then used the window to exit his room and flew for one and a half hours around the school grounds to clear his mind and stargaze. Returning to his room at five thirty in the morning, Ryu took another shower and put on a fresh change of clothes. After preparing for the day to come and running a few plans through his head, he had a breakfast of two Fuji red apples and four protein bars while reading a book containing legends from the Ulster cycle. Considering the fact that a specific time for them to meet up wasn’t exactly provided, Ryu was surprised to see a few of his classmates were already there by the time he had arrived. “Looks like we’re missing a few people. Hopefully, they don’t get left behind.” He was sure that they wouldn’t if their sensei had anything to say about it, though he was hoping that whatever they used to get to the camp wouldn’t be too compact for a variety of reasons.
  23. @TBD @Jedishy Yeah, Ryu would probably help Tharas if he asked, and you could probably have him predict that with his quirk.
