Drago Ryder

@Illiad Easle Gale gave a light groan as she slowly woke from her slumber underneath on of the larger trees bordering the clearing. The dragoness had flown for most of the night, simply wandering and getting whatever she needed to survive from the environment. It wasn’t exactly the best life, but there never seemed to be a good place for her to stay as a permanent residence. Moving to stand, the dragoness stretched the tired muscles in her legs and wings to prepare for whatever the day might bring, though it wasn’t until Midnight’s scent reached her by wind that she noticed his presence. The scent itself was rather strange, being a mixture of multiple species that inhabited the world, though dragon and pony were the only two that she could immediately recognize. Either way, she was rather curious as to why someone like him might be in the area, considering how isolated it was from any civilization that she was aware of. Slowly, the dragoness walked towards the edge of the river and lowered her head in order to drink. At the very least, it would help to at least sate her own needs before interacting with the pony. If he did spend time with dragons, then perhaps the two of them could communicate with one another. “I didn’t expect to see anyone so far from any city. Are you a traveller?”

So, I think I might have just found a base for an upgraded version of Ryu’s hero outfit.

Yeah, at least for the initial transformation. In this case, the energy would be provided by the lightning, though it would still hurt Ryu, along with any other element Mamoru has at his disposal, more than it would give him a power boost. The idea itself sort of came at random, so I might end up scrapping it overall.

Oh, I just figured that getting hit with a large amount of energy might jumpstart Ryu’s transformation as a potential alternative to a high stress situation, though it would certainly be a bit more painful for him overall.

@Dynamo Pad Out of curiosity, is Mamoru capable of manipulating electricity?

As Ryu heated up a pre-packaged chicken and noodle bowl in the provided microwave oven, he watched as the other teens interacted with each other on one of the provided couches, though it did seem that some had already chosen to go into their rooms. It was a reasonable decision, as they had all only just now finished their first day at the one of the top schools in the country. Relaxing in their own personal space would certainly help to ease whatever tension such a thing might have caused, even if very little had actually occurred at all. @Bakugou Is My Man ❤ @Dynamo Pad With that in mind, the primary conversation that took his interest was the one between Wolf and Mamoru, if only for the sheer amount of information provided. It was also amazing that they could have such energy when speaking with one another, though he figured it would be best to wait a few days to see how the relationship between them turned out. He would certainly help the kitsune in getting going further than that of a mere friendship with Wolf if he wanted such a thing, though doing anything too drastic right at the start would only serve to make things far too complicated for his liking. If everything worked out, however, then unnecessary drama would be avoided, the two would probably be happier than they were before, and none would know of his overall involvement other than that of a simple adviser/messenger. Once his food was warmed sufficiently, the dragon based quirk user grabbed the bowl with one hand, not really caring for the notable temperature of the ceramic bowl itself, and a pair of chopsticks with the other. After a brief mental debate on the benefits of staying over holing up in his room, Ryu simply sat on the same couch as Mamoru, leaving a good bit of space between them, and proceeded to eat his meal. While he was content with listening in silence for the time being, he might join the conversation if they would let him.

Oh, I didn’t even think about that possibility, and I could only imagine the drama that might ensure. The best part is that he could easily attempt that sort of relationship with her, but he’s basically sacrificing his happiness for Mamoru’s. Granted, I already have a love interest in mind for him, but that’s besides the point.

Eh, I might have had an idea where Ryu breaks into their room and drops off a few gifts that Wolf might like with a letter containing Mamoru’s signature and handwriting. If he just gives the gifts to Wolf, then he’ll say that they were from the kitsune himself and act as if he were a simple messenger..

Yeah, though I suppose he could just say that it was Mamoru’s idea to begin with or something. I’ll just have to wait and see how the rp plays out. Either way, I can certainly see the three of them becoming friends because of all of this.

Yeah. All I'll say at the moment is that he'll certainly need some heavy duty scent killer to get past Wolf's nose.

Oi, Ryu may be a bit rough around the edges, but he does have a softer side.

Yeah. He’ll probably start off with gentle, discrete nudges here and there before resorting to drastic measures. Of course, that’s assuming all other plans fail. No one finding out it was him that set them up will just be a secondary objective.

Meanwhile, Ryu is just watching the chaos and coming up with ways on how to get Wolf and Mamoru together.

While he might not have admitted it out loud, Ryu did find himself rather interested in the abilities his classmates had demonstrated, and it was obvious that they would make great heroes in their own right given time and training. There might not be much in the way of improvement for him, if only through the relatively limited nature of his quirk, but he would certainly try his best to push himself past his limits. Granted, Haze-sensei would probably be able to advise him on things he never would have dreamed of, but that was for another time. The teen was then brought out of his thoughts by the sound of a series of soft chirps that echoed within his ears. The sounds were barely audible, being just enough to make him look around for its source, and sent a chill down his spine. A headache had also made itself known, though why such a thing would occur was unknown to him. Before the teen could investigate, the voice of their teacher forced him to return back to reality, just in time to hear that he would be rooming alone. He didn’t really mind, as his... erratic sleep schedule would most certainly impact any roommate he might have had in a negative manner. Most of anything else that might have been said was almost immediately lost on the teen, figuring that it wasn’t exactly important enough to remember. The others already seemed to be interacting amongst themselves, so he didn’t really see the point in sticking around for very long. Figuring that he might be able to get something to eat, Ryu made his way into the main building they would be residing in and towards the dining area of the lounge. He may or may not have had stashes of various snack foods in his room, but he would rather something a bit more substantial after a quick flight.

@TBD So, basically Momo. Neat. Ironically, my villain does come from a wealthy family, though most of it came from her. @Arid_Blitz Yeah, I can see that to some degree.

Eh, Ryu had to deal with the Japanese foster care/orphanage system and worked part time on a night shift, so he'd probably understand at least.

That might work. It’s not like they won’t get thrown into life or death situations every other day, right?

Yeah. I can only imagine the panic Ryu might generate when he turns into a three headed wyvern a fourth the size of a 747, and that’s assuming the size of that form doesn’t grow as he gets older.

Now that I think about it, Ryu would be terrifying as a villain, even if he were limited to the abilities I plan on giving him.

I figured the curses would cover the debuffs, sort of like a two sides of the same coin sort of thing.

@TBD Now that I think about it, a potential upgrade for Noroi's quirk would be the ability to add buffs to others instead of simple curses.
