I find it really hard to describe in words the way in which it is trivialized, but I suppose it would have something to do with the gather or knowledge being a gradual process, and the fact that she was promoted so quickly detracts from this truth.

I also find it reasonable to assume that Celestia has the ability to live forever (or at least for a very very long time) based on clues given within the show (such as her being alive for thousands of years).
