Well, there's no harm in watching it. The story seems very well developed, in my opinion.

Yeah but Hasbro ruined Twilight and I'm too afraid to see how much damage has been done.

If separation (of the mane 6) is something you're worried about, then I can assure you that it seemed like they did their best in trying to nix that misconception. Other than that, I don't really see any 'problem' when it comes to Twilicorn.
