  1. Out of all the games I've played that have taught me anything, the best one would be The Last of Us.

When you play this game, it is more of an emotional journey. People die, people sacrifice, innocent people have their normal lives taken. When I completed that game, I sat through the whole credit roll, thinking about my life so far, and how this game has taught me many factors.

The one main thing TLOU will teach you is how to let go of the past, and what it's like to lose someone.

The BIGGEST thing is that you have to lose something to achieve another.

The second best would be Red Dead Redemption, mainly because it seems to teach about self-redemption and honor, and how you can go from one of the most horribly-known outlaws to a good guy. Quite an emotional and unforgettable story, but not as great as The Last of Us.

  2. I've been gone for a while. Anyway, I've been playing some real intresting games lately that have come out since January. My favorite is The Last of Us. I'm sure some of you have others in mind.

So here's a question; Which games do you personally nominate for Game of the Year?

I nominate The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3. If you think about it, there isn't really a ton of choices.

  4. My favorite game EVER used to be Kingdom Hearts II, and it was my favorite for six years, but then I met the heavenly...

    amazing...

    unbelievably emotional game known as...

THE LAST OF US. I'm sorry, KH, but I instantly fell in love with this game when it was announced at VGA 2011, and mainly because it's made by my number one favorite gaming company: Naughty Dog. Though Ubisoft used to be my number one favorite.

  5. I know I put God of War: Ascension recently on this topic, but yesterday I finally beat The Last of Us.

It's pretty much the first mature game this year, and it's way more mature than Call of Duty. I don't understand how people like those games anymore.

  6. Alright, hopefully this is a good topic:

I've seen some pretty amazing games since the beginning of the second decade of the 2000s (as in 2010), and I think it'd be a good idea to list my favorites.

I'll provide names and pictures for it.

  7. So, Friday I got The Last of Us, and I must say, the story was unbelievable. I beat the game on Survivor difficulty, and many points of the game made me cry.

I liked the many surprises and the couple of plot twists in the game.

Anyway, to the main topic, I think that the Multiplayer was pretty epic. The multiplayer seems like Dead Island (but with humans) and Call of Doody put together (cause you can manually cover instead of pressing a button, and you just crouch).

And YES, I TEABAG ON THERE ALOT. I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CROUCHING OPTION. Anyway, yesterday I ran into a building and starting punching the flying crap out of a Firefly, which resulted in another one coming and double teaming with that Firefly on me! Soon enough, before I was gonna die, one of my Hunter teammates came to the rescue and started punching them, and then another, and then another. I hadn't died because everyone kept pressing X from time to time to bandage little by little. Then the only Firefly that wasn't there threw a bomb and blew us ALL up.

    "Awkwardest orgy ever." I said.

    SPOILER ALERT:

I still can't believe David was such a creeper and tried to rape Ellie. Creepy, much?

  8.

"I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon; and here at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit, for a message that eludes my understanding."

    ―Ezio Auditore da Firenze

  9. Too bad this game sucks. It's pretty much Uncharted with bootleg zombies and a shit-ton of bad mechanics that i doubt they'll fix.

I don't believe in your existence, young sir. I believe The Last of Us is an AMAZING GAME!

Ask the person sitting next to me, he will slap you too. Senseless. Wildpaw will slap you senseless because you said this.

  10. It feels good to know that I wasn't the only one who actually wanted DRM. i wanted to do the game sharing with my friends and family but now that is all taken away.

I am glad about it. I wish I could feel sympathy for you, but then again, I wouldn't have wanted those DRM restrictions. I hated them, and if they hadn't removed them, I wouldn't even CONSIDER getting an Xbone.

  11. Yeah, they should. And maybe, they should not call everyone who says a supposedly negative thing about PS4 an idiot. That'd be a step in the right direction.

Either way, it was a good decision, in my opinion. That was one of the major reasons a lot of people preferred 360 over PS3; it's online service didn't suck. And, it seems PS+ members get a bunch of benefits, as well.

I love PlayStation Plus. They have tons of benefits, including the free games.

Shoot, I just got Saints Row: The Third yesterday from PlayStation Plus! I love their choices of free games!

  12. Naughty Dog, I love you so much.

Last Friday, The Last of Us was released, and it was critically acclaimed as a GOTY candidate, which I will not disagree with.

After the years, ever since I got my first PlayStation EVER, I have loved their games.

It all started with the Crash Bandicoot trilogy, which moved onto the Jak Saga, which THEN went to the Uncharted trilogy!

After years of hard work, you could realize that Naughty Dog has pushed themselves past that stupid brick wall that blocks all of the studios. Naughty Dog has made a HUUUUUGE success.

Prepare you guys, The Last of Us will steal the gold this year!

  13. It is confirmed you must pay to play the online multiplayer, everything else is free. They are doing this so they can improve the servers and in return we will get the same benefits current PS+ users get. Lets be honest, Sony has been losing money on PSN because they didn't have enough money to keep it top notch since it was free and guess what most people did? Not pay for PS+. This is just a tactic so they can put more money into improving it and maintaining it and in return to entice the user with free games, discounts, etc.

Yeah, I mean after that huge hack by Anonymous, I understood that PSN was pretty much losing money. Then again, I don't find any of this stuff surprising (paying for multiplayer and stuff). Then again, I just now got PlayStation Plus, and my mom might continue to have it subscribed, so yeah, I will probably just get the PS4 anyway. I think that everyone should just pretty much accept the new rule of "paying for multiplayer".

  14. I've played all of this current generation's consoles, but was mainly on the Xbox 360, but after the stuff Microsoft pulled (and even if they changed) I'm not going back. I'm going to the PS4 and playing Steam. I knew that Sony had the better console, just all my friends were on the Xbox, but that's changing right now.

    Goodbye Xbox, hello Playstation.

You are hereby awesome, sir. That little line at the bottom lifted my heart.

    Faith restored in gamers.

I love PlayStation, and whoever has a problem with that can go jump into traffic.

  15. lol, you're right, nobody will be on PlayStation Network, since PSN is for PS3. In order to play online on PS4, you have to be on PlayStation+, which you have to pay for.

It's funny because from what I've heard, multiplayer will be free.

PlayStation will continue to have free multiplayer. That's what I heard from E3.

If I find out that you have to have PlayStation Plus to play online, then they will not be having my $400.

  16. Heh well don't worry comrade. You act like psn is going to be barren and that couldn't be further from the truth. I actually can't wait. If what I see around is true there should be tons of peeps to play with. Not everyone is switching back and I even got my friend to get a ps next gen :3

Well, that makes me feel quite better now. Thanks for sharing that with me. I honestly have a feeling Sony has still won this round.

  17. *gets mad when microsoft adds restrictions*

*gets mad when they take them away*

Yeah your logic does seem a bit flawed there. I mean if you think about it no that there is no DRM and you can play pre-owned games and whatnot it is essentially better as it has ALL THESE BEAUTIFUL EXCLUSIVES!!!

Also you may want to calm down a little.

Yes, but when you think about it, Xbox One isn't the only one with all the great exclusives. There will be great exclusives for the PS4 as well, such as InFAMOUS: Second Son and Kingdom Hearts 3.

  18. Dude, chill man. So what if people get the xbox? It's their choice. If they want to trust Microsoft so soon then fine. No need to fret about it. It don't affect you

Oh dear, it's a rabid Playstation fanboy...

Just chill out bro, it's probably Microsoft's twin brother that actually do good things.[/bullshit]

Seriously, though, Microsoft removing some of those Xbox One restrictions is actually a good thing. You shouldn't make a huge issue about it.

Oh, I wasn't really enfuriated. I just hate the fact that everyone would go to Xbox.

I don't hate it because it's just Xbox, I just hate that there's a possibility that nobody would really be on PlayStation Network is all.

  19. Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, but if you hang out around me, and you mention Kingdom Hearts 3 I will flip my own computer over and it will fall on my foot. OW!

Speaking of KH3, I have a feeling Xehanort will get his rear handed to him.
