if someone by chance broke into my house, which is always possible. i'd be glad to have guns instead of being armed with nothing. guns aren't bad if you don't abuse them.
Indeed, guns are a tool which while they can be dangerous can also be a great equalizer that can allow even people who would otherwise be weak and helpless to defend themselves.
Oh I understand that. But the notion that you will somehow be safer if you have possession of a gun for me is flawed. My dad and everyone in my family have no training with firearms to begin with.
