  1. Over one inch? Being generous that's ~4cm. There isn't a single German panzer's armour that is so thin to be penetrated from that. The most damage that weapon could do is muck up a viewport or, if it's lucky, the sprockets or bogey wheels. Only target that PTRD-41 has eyes on is infantry and soft-skinned vehicles such as the Sdkfz. 251 and various armoured cars. Sorry, not a chance against the panzerwaffe~ Personnel and soft-skinners are fair game for you though. :3
  2. He's got a big ol' flank :3 Looks very nice, good effort! Two of our mods.
  3. Things happen, things can go wrong. It's how you deal with them is what makes you truly shine as a person. Welcome back. So many apologies, my heart cannot take it!
  4. Herr Leutnant! Where on Earth could you possibly be going?

  7. I'm decent this evening, and - judge? As Scootacool has warned in this very thread not too long ago, roleplaying is forbidden in the General Chat Thread. If you want to roleplay there is an entire dedicated subforum for doing so.
  8. Glad to have you on board, Daemo! I can guarantee you'll fit right into our humble site here with extreme ease. Seeing as how you're new to the show, it wouldn't be a bad idea to check out the MLP: FiM subforum to see what all the fuss is about. If you're looking for some non-pony discussion with the other pony folk, I'd show you to the Everfree Forest subforum, where all non-pony related talk resides. Don't worry too much about not having another pony fan friend nearby, I'm sure you'll find one if you keep an eye on when and where meet-ups are in your area. Hope to see you around, Daemo!
  9. Everyone went to Disney World except myself and my father. A bit of revenge for going to London without them I guess.

Oh, it's a well-known fact by all that London is infinitely superior to Disney, though it's just the fact that the house is bloody well empty.

Good thing we still have those gas chambers.

  14. The Soviet-built Object 279 tank was built to withstand the blast of a nuclear weapon of the Cold War. During Operation Winter Storm the 6th Panzer Division's advance to relieve the 6th Army trapped in Stalingrad was halted by the Red Army just 48km away from the city. The German Tiger II tank's frontal armour of ~180mm was never penetrated in combat. Though it had poor mileage and ran at around 160m per litre of fuel.
  15. Some chapters are solely the real soldier from the day's writing. Others are a combination of the author of the book, who was a German freelance author during WWII, and the memoirs of the soldier and also research about his division's whereabouts at any given time.
