  1. The "Get Free Gems" button directs you to a list of atrocious Tapjoy offers instead of giving you a gem for watching a video as of today. Seriously, practically none of them are worth doing. A small amount of gems for magazine subscriptions and insurance quotes? As if the target audience has any use for those... This wouldn't really be that big of an issue if the movie theater actually worked for iOS, but it still doesn't.
  2. Sure, it's not as creepy as some of the earlier Black Sabbath songs. (The song "Black Sabbath" itself was probably as creepy as it got...) but Diary of a Madman is one of my favorite Ozzy songs, both from a lyrics and instrumental standpoint. You have to pay attention to the lyrics for it to be creepy, but that's why it works.
  3. A few of my pre-existing friends are bronies. As for people I didn't already know, I did meet one in one of my university classes last semester. We never really got any chance to talk, so he never actually brought it up in conversation with me, but he did have a new MLP themed desktop background on his laptop almost every other week, many of which featured Derpy, so I figured...
  4. I'm actually ok with Discord's reformation, as it's really not all that different from what happened to Q, who Discord was more-or-less based off of in the first place. The circumstances were a bit different, but at the end of the day, Q stopped being a full-fledged villain, and instead usually ended up helping the main cast out while trolling them at the same time, which I can totally see Discord doing in season 4 onward. As for other antagonists, it's more-or-less already been stated above. A lot of people are suckers for a good redemption story, and given the fact that love and friendship are sort of the main aspects of the show, reforming villains makes sense, as opposed to defeating them and forgetting about them. I'd be okay with Gilda being reformed, seeing as she's barely even an antagonist, she's just a jerk who doesn't know how to be a good friend. I'm sure there's an episode with a good moral that could be made out of that scenario. It'd be interesting to see what happens with Lightning Dust. Do we even know if she was kicked out of the academy, or just demoted? Either way, I can maybe see her resenting Rainbow Dash and trying to sabotage her attempts to join the Wonderbolts, but I could also see them going a different route, with Lightning Dust getting Dash to help her become less reckless, so that she can have another chance. It is a kid's show, after all, and I can see scenarios that could have a friendship moral attached to them being more likely. As for Chrysalis, I'm not sure. The fandom has a soft spot for her, and I'm sure plenty would be okay with her being reformed as well, but I'd like to learn more about her and the changelings first. As of right now, I'd like to see Chrysalis being a recurring villain instead of being reformed, at least for a while. Between the wedding and the comics, she's proven to be one of the series' darker and more threatening characters, and I'm sure there's still a lot we could get out of her being evil.
  5. Well, I think Lesson Zero's ending could have been handled a bit better, but considering I was under the the impression that this was a typical cringe-worthy little girl's show with no plot, it was quite the wake-up call.

    Heyo!

Hey all, I'm Oboe Shoes. I've been hanging around a few other sites for a while now, so you may have seen me around, but I've just gotten around to making an account here, so hi! Mine's mostly the typical story. I was never a hater, but the whole phenomenon definitely struck me as odd. Back when Season 1 was first airing, and the fandom was just starting out, I saw a few quote clips and the like. I got a few chuckles out of some, but didn't really look into it, as I thought this was just something that would blow over after a while. As we all know, that wasn't the case. I still hadn't seen a full episode, so I didn't really get what all the hype was about, but eventually, one of my close friends brought it up in conversation. She's a pretty big fan, and said that I'd "make a good brony", so I decided I'd give it a shot. The season 2 finale had just aired, and my sister had that and a few other episodes recorded, so I sat down and watched them. In short, the first full episodes I ever saw were Lesson Zero and A Canterlot Wedding. Let me tell you. That is a heck of a way to be introduced to the show. What can I say, it got me hooked. Soon after, I was looking up characters and other information, and watching the rest of the episodes wherever I could find them. By the time MMC aired, I was caught up with the show, and the standard aspects of the fandom.
