  1. I have this song in my head for some reason, but I'm not complaining.
  2. Such rainy weather lately... but it sure beats snow.

  3. Leave it to biking 18 miles (30 km) after 4 months to make you aware of just how out-of-shape you are... T_T

  4. I think my friend @ would be pretty pleased with me right now.
  5. I wish this cold weather would end. ;~;

  6. Epic VGM is epic, and it gets stuck in my head.
  7. I accidentally came cross Rooster Teeth a few months ago when I was looking up some gameplay videos of a game I liked. I found the "Rage Quit" series, and after watching not only one of a game I liked (Which was BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, by the way), but others I became a fan really quickly. I just find those videos hilariously funny almost every time. So I try to keep up-to-date with the RQ videos, myself. It's also my understanding that Michael is a brony, so that was a pleasant surprise as well.
  8. I can say that I've never been banned from a website before. Not even warned, actually. I generally, if not always, follow the guidelines of a website I'm a part of. Not to be a brown-noser or anything. It's just that I understand the rules are there for a reason and if I don't follow them, consequences will follow, and I'd rather avoid that. The only kind of "banning" I've ever experienced was from one Skype group and the reason was pretty amusing. One of the moderators of the chat was literally an immature child, by age and behavior. He and I didn't get along very well because he had (and probably still does have) this little bratty attitude. So when he finally found a reason to, he banned me from the group. Which was okay anyway because I didn't really talk much in it. Speaking of which, that's another thing. I've been removed from a Skype group or two for "inactivity." Apparently, I was "obligated" to speak a lot in those groups, while in others it's okay to lurk and only talk when I feel like it and/or are able to. I prefer the latter, and that's how I run my own Skype groups. I think removing someone for inactivity is pretty silly at best. I have other priorities in life than constantly remaining active in a Skype group. So it only makes me happier that I'm not part of a group that's run that way. I believe that's about it. ^^
  9. So the weather today was actually nice enough to go biking. I biked 16 miles (26 km). I enjoyed it, but if my legs could talk, they'd say otherwise. >_< I did get to see some horsies though. Over 10 of them, in a row, trotting along the trail. With equestrians, of course. I think one of them was a pony (the equine, not the equestrian :P). So that was nice.

  10. That's not necessarily true. Sexuality, despite its name, doesn't necessarily mean sexual. It can also mean physical and/or emotional, but without sex. Sexual is undeniably physical, but it can also be emotional. You can be in a romantic relationship without sex as well, for example, regardless if you are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, etc. Absolutely. I agree. However, that's not what I was talking about. When I said "physical" I kinda meant sexual, but as I said just a moment ago, it doesn't have to be. Same goes for "emotional." In my case I was referring to romantic love (may or may not be platonic), but not familial love as the example you are describing. I'm sorry if I wasn't completely clear, I just thought that based on the context of this thread's discussion it would've been more obvious. My mistake. ^^ As for this part, I don't really have much to add. I certainly won't call you any mean names, that would be counter-productive. In fact, I found what you said to be rather interesting. I, too, believe that sexuality is much more complex and fluid (or as you say, "dynamic") than a lot of people think it is. As for the the part of linking sexual abuse to being gay or bisexual, I haven't analyzed the data, but I can definitely tell you that I do not fall into that category as I was never abused in any way, shape, or form growing up. In fact, for the majority of my life I thought I was straight until a little over a year ago when I realized, not only based on my current feelings, but some I had in the past, that perhaps I was bisexual all along, but never really thought about it until now. So I'm an example of the one that developed into it naturally, as you stated.
  11. This! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwy1___CL-U And you know why? Because I watched Ponies The Anthology III and saw this: That's why.
  12. Well, the snow wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Only a couple of inches with a little ice/sleet mixed in, but not too bad. It's melting away today. ^^

  13. 5 to 8 inches (13 to 20 cm) of snow expected for my area this weekend... Nice...

  14. Life would certainly be different for me without the Internet. My life practically revolves around it, and I'm not just talking about using it for fun. I also use the Internet for business both at home and at work. So if there was no Internet, many things would be a lot less convenient like they are now which includes searching for information on a multitude of subjects. Sure, I could probably go to a library to obtain this information, but as I said— convenience and efficiency of obtaining information. My job would be different, as it does require the usage of the Internet in a variety of ways. It would probably still be there, but it wouldn't be nearly as convenient to complete certain tasks. As far as casual activities are concerned, I'd probably be more "addicted" to TV than the Internet instead. Just a different type of media really. Before I even had a computer, which would be over 15 years ago now, TV was the thing I was hooked on. TV, movies, video games, and going outside (gasp!) to play (I still do that today, I call it mountain biking ). So as for this moment I'd probably just be sitting in front of a different screen— TV instead of a computer. I must unwind after working somehow, and I choose the Internet. Without it, TV would come in second for me. I'd probably also have a very different view of the world, in both a good way and a bad. The Internet provides valuable insight into other cultures and people, but as all of us avid Internet users know, it also shows the dark side of many people. Many things that I wouldn't have probably even imagined with only encountering people in real-life. Hooray for Internet?

      How was your birthday? Did you do anything exciting?

      Well, I played Legend of Zelda's Majora's Mask for the first time since more than a decade. The different mechanics are challenging and fun but that game does know how to make you tense. Later friends and family arrived and we've just been catching up. Good gravy did we really need that. @_@

  17. I'd say about 90% of my real-life personality is apparent in my online personality. One big difference would be how social I am. Online, I can be social, but in real-life I've always had trouble opening up to those I don't know. I'll often be one of the quietest people at first until you get to know me better. Another thing, I have a very strange sense of humor that probably only those that know me in-person would understand. Although I can be funny to some of my closer online friends, I sometimes don't even try to be funny in an online public setting (with some exceptions), only because from my experience, if you "try too hard" to be funny, it just looks foolish to those that don't understand the humor. Those are really the only two big things I can think of off the top of my head. I can see my personality online being interpreted differently from my real self, though. For example, based on my posts, perhaps I look like someone that takes a lot of things seriously, even things that shouldn't be, when in reality, I'm the exact opposite. I take things seriously that need to be taken seriously, but with a lot of things, I can just laugh it off and have a good time and not stress over the small stuff. On the whole, I'd consider myself a very laid-back and friendly individual. So while I'd say 10% of it could actually be different, I wouldn't be surprised if some would think I'm a little more different online than I am in real-life, but not much more. That would only be a result of how I conduct myself online as opposed to around those that know me in-person.
