  1. Samus in other M is such a caricature of the Samus from the other, better games that she may as well be a different character. Samus in the Prime Trilogy was so good because she let her actions speak for herself. Other M Samus is an annoying whiner who monologues constantly and fawns over Adam. God I'm so glad Prime 4 is coming.
  2. You're thinking of the prequel, Ground Zeros.
  3. I'm sorry if I've said this before but oh well. Metroid Other M. What a travesty. Awful story, average gameplay, nothing that made the likes of Super, Prime 1 and Zero Mission Memorable, bland voice acting. And the hype surrounding it was enormous. I hate Other M and don't consider it Canon I'm so glad Prime 4 is coming out.
  4. Well I'm not really that big on Pokemon so
  5. The crappy business practices and The futuristic setting, also I just think they lost most of their creativeness after that.
  6. That's honestly my favorite CoD and imo every one that came out after got progressively worse.
  7. I've said this before but Metroid Other M Months of hype and we get an awful story with bland and wooden voice acting, average combat and arguably horrible controls. Samus went from a badass bounty Hunter who's actions spoke for herself, to a whiny wooden and unlikeable caricature. Adam was an asshole when Fusion made him out to be this respectable and heroic man to Samus. Fuck Other M.
  8. DMC1 and Elite: Dangerous. I've been hyped for that but sadly I do not have a PS4. :c I have a Switch and my gaming PC so a PS4 will have to wait for when I can afford one.
  9. Bought DMC HD collection and Elite: Dangerous.
  10. Also the thing is most gamers want the most convenient option. PC gaming has come a long way, I mean just look at sales in 2016, they eclipse console sales but still.
  11. @Sunset Rose We'll no but if you want a decent i5 or even a 1060 it will still cost you. Not to mention PC upkeep and maintenance, upgrades, if a part dies on you ya gotta replace it, that can seem daunting to general gamers. Don't even get me started on cryptomining
  12. Sure, but PC gaming isn't as cheap as you think. If you want to play the latest games without having to lower your graphics settings to still only get 30fps, you're gonna have to fork over a lot, even if you save up. This is coming from someone with a high end rig. PC gaming still has issues. It's come a long way but there's still things that need to be addressed.
  13. That's honestly my most anticipated game for this year or next.
  14. You gonna get metroid as well?
  15. Not my point. It's no point for you, but for someone who can't afford a PC because let's be honest, most people can't afford a gaming PC, and I say this as someone who mainly games on PC, but for someone who has no Xbox or PC or PS4 the switch is just as good as option, and my point is Nintendo isn't just for kids anymore. Also, doesn't Doom on the go sound like a good time? Even though I have a better version on PC I'd get it on switch just for the portability.
  16. Yeah, TF2 was the first to do the random chance boxes, but tf2 is free to play.
  17. Guess I'll post my current specs. Asus rog GTX 1070 8GB Intel Core i7 4790k 16 GB gskill DDR3 1600 ASUS Maximus vii hero Seasonic Focus + 650w gold plus Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 4TB WD blue Fractal design define r4 Cooler Master MK750 cherry MX brown with per key rgb lighting Logitech g300s Logitech g430
  18. Eh, even in the case of overwatch, I'm not a fan of having to gamble for the potential skin I want. It's not as bad because you can get them by leveling or doing weekly events etc, but it's still to the point where you'll want to fork over cash for a bunch. Also OW kind of popularized loot boxes.
  19. It's basically digital gambling, some are cosmetic, some are pay to win. Honestly though they don't belong in $60 games.
  20. Probably because pubg players are mad that fortnite is a better version of it, runs better, even on consoles, looks better, the devs are actually trying to improve the game, while the pubg team bluehole still needs to work on the game a lot. Seriously, I have a GTX 1070 and an i7 4790k yet I still get frame drops. The game is an unoptimized mess. The Chinese hacker issue still hasn't been resolved. Not to mention bluehole thinks they own the rights to the guns, med packs etc and the battle Royale and are trying to sue Epic even though pubg is a rip-off of h1z1's battle Royale.
  21. Nintendo is looking to get more than just kids though, now. Look at the Switch adverts. They're trying to get everyone. Even adults. Especially since they're getting more mature titles like Doom, Wolfenstein, Dark Souls, etc. They're starting to cater to everyone. To say they're for kids is blasphemous.
  22. Perhaps it's not Nintendo that's the problem, it's you. If it isn't broke don't fix it. Changing the formula of an established series is risky, you always have the chance of alienating and upsetting longtime fans. I'm a huge Metroid fan and if they suddenly went from the tried and true explore and collect and progress and made Metroid a mindless brawler or what have you I would be upset.
  23. Fair enough, but what about the lesser popular franchises that don't get nearly as much like Metroid? Also, again, the only real offenders are Mario, Pokemon, and maybe Kirby.
  24. But Studio A is making the port, while Studio B is making the new title, while studio C is making this remaster, and Studio D is finishing up a new game. Also, Why is making new games for established franchises bad? Every console maker is guilty of that. And some of their established franchises go years without a major release, the only one that get reused often is Mario. Zelda games take 5 or so years to make, and Metroid sees 1 or 2 games every 10 years. It's more niche than the other two. Mario is literally their only franchise that sees annual releases. They've made several new games for the Switch and more are to come. I'm sorry but I don't really understand your criticisms.
  25. The Switch doesn't have nearly as many ports as you claim. It has a fair few that never got much attention on the Wii U, so as I said, it's justified in it's ports, and you don't understand game development, do you? The games on the Switch aren't being made by one single studio. Porting games from the Wii U isn't taking time away from new games, because Nintendo has several studios porting Wii U and Wii games, as well as ports from other platforms, meanwhile Nintendo has their main studios and other studios working on new games. Those new games just take more time to make. Here is a list of all games coming to the Switch for the year and beyond. https://www.gamesradar.com/upcoming-nintendo-switch-games/
