  1. I doubt it. Larson made some of the best episodes, so I would love to see him return, but it's not likely, and AKR, I can't see her returning either, she had other things to do.
  2. Not too much honestly. Twilight's snarky attitude was interesting, sure, and I miss her old home, but besides that, I honestly prefer the seasons 4 and forward, season 6 less so. I think the newer seasons have done a much better job of showing character growth and the season arcs are mostly pretty good. Season 1 is the worst season for me by far honestly.
  3. Actually, there is, but you pretty much need a decently beefy PC. Same with Gamecube.
  4. True. And I will not deny that consoles do have reason to buy, and that is the first party exclusives on the systems, particularly Nintendo. Metroid is my favorite series and I can't get that on PC unless I emulate it, but downloading ROMs is illegal, and besides that, emulation isn't always going to work, anyway.
  5. Nothing. I'm an atheist, so I think all that's after death is a void of empty blackness, and we simply cease to exist.
  6. I've played a bit of the first and third games, but I didn't finish them. Halo Reach I highly enjoyed. I also kind of enjoyed 4.
  7. Well, on a PC if there's a problem with a part, you can try to diagnose the problem yourself, and fix it, which doesn't require you to be without your PC, and if you have to replace a part, your PC is still usable, say if your GPU fries, you can take it out and replace it, and you can still use your PC without it, or if you need to replace RAM, same thing. With a console, you have to send the entire thing in, and can't use it.
  8. Well, why don't you just play The Sims on console? I'm sure you have a PS3 or a Wii, and those have Sims 3. I'd suggest Sims 4, but that's a PC exclusive, and I think I remember you say it didn't look as good.
  9. Well, I disagree. I've gamed on PC enough to know that most of the time, games are well optimized. Just saying you can't base all of PC gaming as "poorly optimized" off one game. Like I said, I have a lot of experience, so I think I know what I'm talking about.
  10. Well, Civ IV and V aren't very demanding games, and EA has a problem with optimizing most of their games on PC. Sims, Simcity 2013, etc. And that's still a rather small number of PC games to have played, and not enough to say that PC games as a whole are poorly optimized. That article is well researched and very accurate of the experience I had with my PS4.
  11. But if you do have a hardware issue, you can't fix it yourself, and especially if you happen to get it after a warranty has expired. Not so with PC. When I had a PS4, it took me an hour before I was able to play a game. That doesn't seem that simple. https://www.howtogeek.com/241691/gaming-consoles-arent-plug-and-play-anymore.-theyre-a-hassle-just-like-pcs/ I think this explains everything wrong with modern day consoles.
  12. I'm just saying that sure, this forum has a few elitists, but outside of here, most communities have PC gamers who aren't elitists. Also, I didn't mean to say extensive research. You don't have to look far. I wouldn't use this forum as an example for elitists, because it's already got a problem with other types of people. Outside of here, there's the PC subreddit, various forums, blogs, etc, that are very helpful. Also, PC has various hardware brands and whatnot, some good, some not, of course it's going to confusing, but not complicated. You just have to look into which brands are good. Also, I'd argue modern consoles are not as simple as people say. For one you can't just turn it on and pop a game in. The constant updates and new complexity are why modern consoles lost what gave consoles their edge over PCs. The new consoles aren't as simple anymore though. Also, I dunno about you, but when I had a PS4, the update took at least half an hour.
  13. Not true. Modern consoles have various issues today, those updates, aren't as small as you think. When you want to play a game, you have to install it to the HDD, so it's a lot like PCs in a sense, and actually, that's what modern consoles are, weaker PCs. And they don't always work out of the box. And if you have a problem with it, gotta send it to the manufacturer, with PC, just replace the bad hardware and you're good. Look, I'm just saying, if you look into it a bit, it really isn't hard. You don't need to know much about PCs to build one. When you do, though, it's rewarding and your PC is yours. Also, I had a PS4. It was alright, but the constant updates was annoying. So much for pick up and play. And especially since I was playing online.
  14. If you put a bit of thought into it, building a PC really isn't hard at all. It's like legos, and hard to mess up, because everything is labelled. Also, OP does have one thing right, PC gaming is huge. Sales have never been higher, and it rivals the console market, at least in the hardware part. Not so with all in one desktops and cheapish laptops.
  15. 1. It's not a problem within the PC gaming community. If you actually did extensive research and looked around, you'd find that most are regular people who would be more willing to help with problems. The problem with some people who ask for help, is that they can be really stubborn. No offense, but that's what you come off as to me. 3. OP did not do actual research, and doesn't really know what he's talking about. 3. Console peasant is used for people who blindly follow the company they support. You're not one of those people, but I thought I'd point that out. As for the term PC master race, if you can't take a joke, I really don't know what to tell you. Most PC gamers don't have a superiority complex.
  16. Okay, as a PC gamer, you've missed the point. I'll tell you why PC gaming is better than consoles though. Prepare for incoming text wall. PC gaming as a whole is much cheaper than console gaming. Especially in the long run, it can be less than half of what a console will cost you. Hidden fees, price hikes, and royalties are abundant for gamers AND developers in the console industry. [1] [2] PC hardware offers better bang-for-buck & value than console hardware (same performance for less money, more performance for the same money, or much more performance for a bit more money). [1] PCs have the freedom to upgrade whenever YOU decide to, not when Sony or Microsoft decide to. If you just got a big paycheck and wanted to sell your R7 260 to a friend for $50 and buy an R9 380 for $150 tomorrow, you could do it. PCs give you full internal and external control over the graphical fidelity triangle. Consoles can control neither. PCs easily work with TVs and monitors, and even multiple of each. PCs can play nearly every old PC and console game ever made, thanks to its tremendous legacy support, emulator availability, and GOG. PCs can use nearly every console controller ever made, modern ones (PS3/PS4/X360/XO) work without even needing a USB adapter. [1] PC games offer a clearer image thanks to native resolution and its ability to adjust to any display its plugged into. Console games don't allow resolution adjustments, and will lock to whatever the developer arbitrarily chose. This means that lower resolution displays offer no performance benefit like they do on PCs, because the resolution is never lowered to spare some workload on the GPU (which, on a PC, would mean it could render frames faster). [1] Gaming services and "social services" on the PC are completely free, even with online play (Steam, Galaxy, Desura, Mumble, etc) Gaming services on the PC offer more functionality than what you pay for on a console PCs have better better multiplayer support (LAN, 16x local multiplayer on the same machine with softXpand) Using a modern budget GPU yields around 60 frames per second during gameplay with recent game releases. Consoles can barely reach 30FPS most of the time. Not only can PC's be used for education, entertainment, gaming, and content creation... they're the best at all of these things. PCs are much more powerful than the PS4 or XBox One at the same (traditionally believe to be affordable!) price point More exclusives than all the current-gen consoles combined More highly-rated exclusives PC games have free modifications and enhancements available. Old games and new games alike have player-made content, graphical enhancements, and additions available for free. Even Minecraft. [1] More games, much larger library More exclusive games Healthy independent developer scene Lots of free games Free abandonware titles PCs can emulate almost any handheld and stationary console games using freely available emulators. Sometimes even at higher framerates, detail levels, and with better input than the original console permitted! [1] [1] [2] Increasingly cheaper hardware for the price as new GPUs are released Big Picture mode for couch gaming Easier to repair and highly modular Backward and forward hardware compatibility of ~2 years No punishments for repairing Can be upgraded if desired Easier to upgrade Better price-performance than consoles Higher framerates, resulting in smoother motion, physics, particles, and gameplay Higher resolutions than consoles (such as 1080p, 1440p, 1600p, 4k, and 8k!) if your display supports it and you have GPU power you're willing to spare. Consoles struggle, even at 720-900p! Higher graphical details (lighting, textures, foliage, particles, shading, weather) You're probably going to own some sort of PC anyways, why not pay a bit more on top to make it a gaming machine? That alone makes it cheaper than a console.
  17. It wasn't quality control, it was charging for working mods that members of the modding community made. Mods are free, and should stay that way. You don't know the PC gaming community. Microsoft tried charging PC gamers for Games for Windows Live. That didn't end well, Microsoft got backlash for it, and they ended up backing off of that as well.
  18. You don't really have much experience with the PC gaming crowd, huh? Valve tried to do paid game mods for Bethesda's games last year, in conjunction with Bethesda. Guess what happened? PC gamers didn't buck up. They fought back and told Valve how they felt about paid mods. Valve gave in and canceled the idea. PC gamers don't take shit. Valve knows not to charge for online because they know they'll get backlash, and they don't want to lose their monopoly on the PC gaming market. I've been in the PC gaming community for over 2 years and I've learned a lot.
  19. Steam won't charge for online because PC gamers would flip and make a bad name for steam, and either force them to back off like GFWL, or make them fade into obscurity and go to another PC game service. So, it's not really happenstance. Also, I still don't like that, I should at least have access to the free games. But most of all I don't like being charged for an online that barely functions. And now Nintendo is going to charge and their online is notorious for being terrible.
  20. I just can't justify charging sub fees for no reason. But I guess that's just the nature of the console market. It's a closed market and the consumers can't really do anything about it. And part of why I can't see myself owning a new console anytime soon, at least for online gaming. It's a scummy practice, and just shows me that Sony and Microsoft are greedy. Also, if I recall, you lose those free games if your subscription ends.
  21. You should watch this video, I think it explains the whole thing pretty well.
  22. Well, charging for online with little incentive is scummy. I already pay $70 a month for internet, why would I want to pay another $10 a month just so I can use online functionality that barely works? And the games aren't a good incentive. What if there's a game that month that I don't like? Well, there goes any incentive. I'm sorry, but especially as a PC gamer I see zero reason to pay for online. If it really went towards server costs, the service would work much better. Microsoft and Sony are greedy corporations that already make enough money. They can live without an extra $60 a year. And the only reason it's still a thing is because they can get away with it. PC gamers would never stand for that.
