That makes sense. I'm personally into just ballads and instrumentals. With the exception of MLP, I don't even like most lyrical songs. I can handle listening to some rock and jazz per se, but they not my preferences.
Something interesting I notice about you though, is unlike most brony reviews I've watched, you always incorporate some unique facts and reveal the most distinct references that most people would never have guessed.
